I've owned cats for many years and I grew up with dogs. I've cared for friends' cats, dogs, chickens, fish, lizards, and plants before. I studied animal behavior in college and I am a plant scientist and have worked in greenhouses. Animals seem to trust me naturally and I can usually communicate with them non-verbally to help meet their needs and make them happy. Cared for senior pets with medication needs. I always try to leave the home better than I found it :) will show respect for your home and take care of your pets and plants as if they were my own. Ask me about house cleaning that I can also do while I'm sitting for a discount rate :)

Kelsey kept our dogs while we were out on a long day trip. She kept in communication with us during the day. She brushed our long-haired giant who is switching coats for the season. She even vacuumed and left the house cleaner than when she arrived! She followed our instructions to a T. We would love to have Kelsey sit for us again.
Kelsey went above and beyond with our pets! We have two cats and two dogs. One of our dogs is a senior, and unfortunately he had a big health setback right before our trip. We thought he was getting better, but his condition worsened after we left. Kelsey was meticulous about giving him his meds and helped him get outside with a sling. (He's a big dog, too.) It was way more than she signed up for, and we're very grateful for her help. We highly recommend her!
Had trip planned for 6 months to go to Mexico...pet sitter had to cancel last minute. Almost didnt go. Heard about Rover and found Kelsey. My first time using this app and literally our flight was leaving Friday 10/28 and returning 11/6 and contacted Kelsey the day before she immediately responded. Kelsey to the rescue. We werent able to meet her and had a friend/neighbor introduce my Belle and show her around the apartment complex. Chelsey committed to caring for my beloved Belle and knowing she would be with her overnight was a huge relief. Belle is a 4 year, 65 lb blue nose pitbull full of energy....Chelsey gave me updates everyday. We came home to a very happy doggy and was able to meet her in person. Kelsey is a wonderful cat mama! I had her stay with my cat Raja, feed her, and give her medication for almost two weeks. By the end of it, my cat was just as loving and happy as the day I left her. Kelsey even taught her how to stand on her back legs, and made sure my Raja was doted on every day. I got text and photo updates, and I have every reason to believe Kelsey would make a great cat/dog sitter for you too.
Kelsey has cared for my cat and fish on multiple occasions and she’s always been responsible and caring. It’s clear she loves animals and really goes above and beyond to make sure they’re getting plenty of love and attention.

Schedule
I am currently working at UW as a biologist. I love animals and have done a lot of house sitting in the past. I can no longer do overnight stays since I have adopted a cat, but I would love to do drop in visits for your animals and/or dog walking while you are gone. Can also water plants!
