Hi there! I’m Kelsey, your dog’s new best friend 🐾 I’ve been using Rover intermittently since 2020. I've been surrounded by dogs my entire life, from energetic Labs and Golden Retrievers to spunky mini Dachshunds and pugs. I’ve also lived with Dobermans and Goldendoodles (thanks to former roommates), so I’m no stranger to all kinds of breeds, personalities, and caring for dogs of all ages. **My boyfriend and I have a 6-month-old puppy (a Blue Lacy & Silver Lab mix) who lives at his house. While he does not live in my home full-time, there will likely be interactions, so I do require that dogs in my care are friendly and comfortable around other dogs.**

Kelsey was amazing with my cat Sophie. I was very nervous to send her overnight somewhere for the first time but once I met Kelsey I was very confident with her watching Sophie. During her stay I was updated a bunch and sent pictures and videos. 10/10 will definitely be booking with her again if needed :)

Bruno and I highly recommend Kelsey. She responds quickly to messages. Her communications are informative and helpful and she clearly answers the questions asked. She follows up and follows through. Most importantly, her care of Bruno, my senior bulldog, was outstanding. He loved her. He especially loved the healthy dog treats she baked for him 💕. Kelsey sent daily updates that I truly appreciated. I had never left him with a stranger and it was a bit stressful. Kelsey was great and handled it all — dog and human.

Schedule
I work from home full-time time, Mon - Fri, and am able to provide frequent potty breaks, lots of walks if your pet is able (I'm very active), or trips to the dog park, and quality time! I do my best to keep a routine similar to what they have in your home to ensure they're as comfortable as possible.

My main priority is making sure that you and your pet(s) are comfortable. I love to do a Meet and Greet beforehand and learn what expectations are needed to ensure a comfortable, fun experience for everyone. I live in a pet friendly apartment near a walking trail and parks. I also have a dog treat maker to bake healthy, natural dog treats! Your pet will be groomed according to what is required for their breed (I honestly find a good brushing SO satisfying!) Most importantly, you'll recieve updates via photo, video, and text each day to let you know what we've been up to!
A typical day
All pets will get a morning walk upon waking, typically the longest walk of the day, followed by breakfast and any other special care requested (such as medications or grooming). They will recieve frequent walks or potty breaks throughout the day (every 2 hours or so). In the evenings during work days, activities are pretty casual. They'll have dinner, and if appropriate, I'll take them to a dog park, a nature trail, run short errands with me, or to my boyfriend's house (he owns a house with fenced in yard and we recently adopted a 6 month old puppy!), then we end the day with lots of snuggles. Weekends can be more active with hikes, trips to a brewery, or doggy play dates. At the end of a stay, I'll usually make homemade, all-natural treats to go home with your pet!
