As a high school teacher, my schedule is very routine-oriented, which makes me dependable and organized when caring for pets. During the school year, I’m generally available evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks, with more flexible availability during the summer months. I do my best to work with each pet’s established routine so they can feel comfortable, safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away.

A typical day
Every pet has their own personality, and I love getting to know what makes them happiest! Whether that’s a leisurely walk with lots of sniff breaks, a game of fetch, wand toys for curious cats, laser pointer adventures, cuddles on the couch, or simply quiet companionship, I’ll follow your pet’s routine and comfort level. My goal is for them to feel safe, relaxed, and cared for until their favorite human is home again.

Hi! I’m a high school teacher and lifelong animal lover with experience caring for both cats and dogs. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me over the years to help care for their fur babies, whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, or simply helping pets feel safe and comfortable while their humans are away. I’m calm, dependable, highly detail-oriented, and understand how important routines and communication are when it comes to pet care. I’m especially comfortable with cats and small to medium-sized dogs, and I’m always happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away, or just so you can see their sweet little face. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone truly trustworthy, attentive, and kind to care for your furry family members.

Kelsey is a very nurturing and conscientious pet owner who rescued a 2 year old cat and took responsibility to learn the specific needs and understanding of cat behavior characteristics, in order to provide a safe and loving home for her cat. I have witnessed Kelsey interacting with many types and sizes of dogs, one of which is my 7 year old golden retriever Winnie, who has an anxious and rambunctious personality. Kelsey demonstrates patient and loving care of Winnie. Winnie absolutely loves Kelsey!! Kelsey has been a caregiver for various of her friends who are also dog owners. Kelsey is a responsible and compassionate person who contributes to her community as a high school teacher and good neighbor. Kelsey will be a fantastic asset to ROVER.
Kelsey loves animals, and is great with them! She took wonderful care of my dog while I was away, making sure he got plenty of exercise and attention. She knows animals are part of the family, and that shows in the care she gives them.
Kelsey took wonderful care of my cat, Foo while I was away on several vacations. She is dependable, caring, and clearly loves animals. I always felt at ease knowing Foo was with someone so attentive and loving. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet caregiver.
