As the daughter of a veterinarian, former zookeeper, and current animal care lead at an accredited shelter, I have over 20 years experience caring for animals of all sizes and types! At the age of 15 I raised an entire litter of kittens by myself, all of which lived long, happy lives! I received my degree in Biology so that I could continue a career in animal care and husbandry. I have pet sat for several friends and family members over the course of my life. I currently love my job working at an animal shelter <3

Kelsey was great as usual with watching our house and 2 Shiba Inu. This time she even had to deal with a neighbor's unleashed dog while out on a walk (!!) and did so with such professionalism and care. Schedule
I do freelance jobs through Rover and other agencies so I can create my own schedule. Therefore I’m pretty flexible. I plan my week out around my Rover bookings.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not currently have any pets, so I am able to board cats or small-med dogs, even if they don’t get along with other animals. If I am pet-sitting at your house, I typically stay there the whole time. I may leave to run errands for a bit depending on how comfortable your animal is being left alone. But I am open and flexible to fit your needs!
A typical day
I usually spend the first few minutes of the visit getting comfortable with your pet and gaging their energy level and confidence. I like taking long walks through forested areas (if nearby) or areas with a lot of plants. I let them do most of the leading and set the pace. Back home I will try to engage in a little play if they have toys laying around, or just sit on the couch and cuddle.
