Animal care is literally my day job
I am Marine Mammal Animal Care Professional. I have been in the animal care field for over a decade. During that time I have worked with animals of all ages and abilities, including but not limited to animals with vision and hearing impairments, senior animals, and animals with physical disabilities. I am responsible for paying very close attention to all details of facets of animal care, including but not limited to training and maintaining behaviors using positive reinforcement and other operant conditioning techniques, noting physical changes, appetites, managing food/caloric intake, and medication administration. A huge part of my job is reading and adjusting to animal behavior, and I am well versed in listening to animal body language. I am an animal care professional by trade, and though most of my experience is with exotic animals the care, passion, and expertise translate directly to pet care!

I live in a house with moderately sized fenced in back yard. I currently have a very friendly, well socialized tuxedo cat who gets along well with dogs and other cats. Though he usually has access to the entire house, he is also comfortable spending time in just my room if separation from other animals were to be needed or desired. I enjoy spending time with my or friends pets in my down time. My entire career is in animal care, so I am very used to adapting my routine and needs to fit the animals I am caring for. I will happily curl up on the couch with a furry friend or spend hours playing or walking, whatever suits each individual animals needs!

Kelsey is one of the best pet sitters we have ever used! She was very patient with our senior dogs when one needed extra care after a surgery. Kelsey is a very experienced animal caregiver, and I completely trust her in any situation. She was very thorough when reviewing the details before our trip (which was the first trip leaving our dogs at home, so I was nervous to begin with!) However, Kelsey put me at ease that our dogs would be in good hands, and they had a great time with her! Since then, she has become our regular sitter, and I can't recommend her enough. Anyone who uses her for pet care will be delighted with the service she offers.

Schedule
Though I work 40 hours per week I work 4-10 hour days, leaving me with three full days off per week! I have very few other commitments outside of work, and live only a few miles from home.
