Very disappointing experience. This sitter had been to my home around five times previously and never once mentioned concerns about my dogs’ behavior. The night before a scheduled visit, she sent a text saying she “had people over and couldn’t call” but claimed one of my dogs was being aggressive and growling. The message felt vague and concerning, especially considering this had supposedly never been brought up before. What made the situation worse was that the following morning — when she was supposed to show up — she then said she was uncomfortable going over and canceled last minute, leaving me scrambling to find care. My dog has never shown aggressive behavior before, so the sudden accusation combined with the timing and lack of direct communication felt very unprofessional. Reliability and clear communication are extremely important when trusting someone with your pets, and unfortunately this experience did not provide either.
