I grew up on a farm so we, of course, had a handful of barn cats at any given time. My sister and I made it our mission to make sure they were always taken care of. Especially the mother cats that were pregnant or nursing. We even have experience with assisting mother cats with the birthing process whenever there were complications. We have had to take care of orphaned kittens which often involved bottle feeding. I have seen and handled many different types of cat personalities so I know first hand that body language is key. You also have to let them come to you most of the time. It is rare for a cat to be outgoing. I actually prefer the ones with major attitudes. Never a dull moment with a cat!!
