All the care and love for your pup!

Hello! I may be the biggest dog person you’ll ever meet and would love to watch your pup :) *Currently accepting meet and greets, drop-ins, walks, and boarding at my home for June and later. Open to house sitting, please message for details if longer than 2 days as I have to work out my own dog care and the pricing can more flexible depending on your and your dog’s needs 💛* Currently, we have a duo with Clara Bow and Olive. I have experience with large breeds (Mastiffs, Great Danes, pitties) and smaller ones (shih tzus, shibas) and everything in between. Clara Bow is a big love bug and is friendly with all dogs. Olive would love a temporary best friend to run around with and may be your dog’s new best friend or just co-exist peacefully. To state the obvious, your dog would need to be dog-friendly for staying with us. (If I am doing a drop in or staying at your home, not necessary) I am happy to take care of your pup (all dogs are puppies, right?) and provide excellent service. Your dog is welcome on the couch or bed for cuddles, and we can chat about individual exercise needs. Running around my yard or heading to the local dog park are options. Please note I only watch one client’s dog(s) at a time. I am happy to watch 1-3 dogs from the same household at once. I work remotely with a somewhat flexible schedule Monday through Friday. Since I work from home and spend my weekends in my yard and doing yoga, your pup will have a lot of time with me during their stay! Your dog is treated as my own. This includes regular breaks outside my yard, being allowed on furniture if you allow it, and hanging out in my office during the day while I work. Walks are welcome, as are dog park visits if you are comfortable with them. Note that my home is dog-proof given I have my own :) (minimal cords out, etc.)

Kelsey was so kind to take in our dog on such short notice. What caused me much stress from a last minute cancellation turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Kelsey was so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable knowing our precious pet will be well cared for. She provides us daily updates on how our dog is doing and attach pictures as well. We are grateful to have met her and will definitely be calling on her again in the future. Her dogs are lovely by the way). ☺️

Things went great with boarding our dog with Kelsey. It was her first time being boarded and we were very happy with how well she settled in with Kelsey and her dogs. The feedback we got from Kelsey sure made us comfortable that Tessa was in good hands.

House Sitting • Oct 10, 2023

Kelsey house sat for us for 3 nights and I couldn’t be more appreciative of her patience with me and my animals, her excellent communication, and frequent photo updates! We have a nervous dog and several reptiles so I am always hesitant to leave them in someone else’s hands, but I felt comfortable with and confident in Kelsey from our first introduction. I will absolutely be booking Kelsey the next time we go out of town!

Schedule

Schedule: I’m home most of the time with the dogs while I dog-sit. I will always ask you if it’s okay if I need to leave at a high level for the stay (meaning, you’re aware that I may leave my home during the boarding for a small period of time), and I don’t leave my home for more than 4 hours while your dog is boarded with me. (And most the time, if I do leave my home, it’s for a yoga class for an hour or dinner with a friend for two hours.) If your dog needs someone home 24/7, it is not a fit (you may try a boarding facility for that kind of care.)

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 dogs
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

Safety, trust, & environment: For boarding, I will ask how you care for your pup - does this mean you need to provide a crate, or are they okay alone? I may ask you questions during the stay, and if you want to be totally left alone without questions and updates on your dog(s), it’s not a fit.

Pets

A typical day

Typical day: We can go to a fenced dog park, hiking on leash at South Mountain, or run around in my background. We can also walk around my neighborhood. Your pup can also cuddle with mine!

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only
Kelsey can host up to 3 pets per night
Important info to share ahead of time: for boarding in my home, I would need to know if the dog is dog-friendly. If not, it's not a match. For house sitting, it is totally okay if your dog or pack isn’t dog friendly. I am happy to watch larger dogs as I know it can be tough to find space for them and I love larger dogs!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
