One of the most rewarding parts of pet sitting is watching a relationship grow. There's something incredibly special about seeing a timid pet slowly gain confidence or earning the trust of a dog that takes a little longer to warm up. Every animal is different, and I genuinely enjoy learning what excites them, comforts them, and helps them feel secure. I've found that it's often the little details like a favorite toy, walking route, bedtime routine, or the way they like to be greeted that helps pets feel comfortable. Seeing them greet me with excitement after we've built that trust never gets old, and it's one of the reasons I love what I do.

Setting us up for success: I prefer to set up a complimentary meet & greet before every first booking. It's a chance for us to get to know one another, walk through your pet's routine, and make sure we're a great fit for each other. Since I'll typically be arriving after you've already left for your trip, I think it's important that your pets have the chance to meet me while you're still home. It helps create a familiar face when I return to care for them. Before your trip, I'll ask for a few things to help me provide the best care possible: • A reliable way to access your home (key, lockbox, garage code, etc.) • Your veterinarian's information and an emergency contact. • Written out feeding instructions, medications, and any medical needs. This can be digitally in a message to me if that works the best too! • A little insight into your pet! I'd love to know about their routine, quirks, fears, sleeping habits, leash manners, or anything else that helps them feel comfortable. I've found it's often those little details that help pets settle in and feel most like themselves while you're away.
A typical day
During Arizona's cooler months, I'm happy to take dogs on neighborhood walks or hikes (with your permission). If your dog is an experienced running partner, I'd love to have them join me on a run. I work in an office Monday through Friday, but I intentionally plan my schedule around the pets in my care. That often means early morning walks before work, evening adventures after work, and plenty of quality time together when I'm home. On weekends, my schedule is much more flexible, allowing for even more one on one time and outdoor activities. You'll receive daily updates, photos, and detailed visit notes throughout your booking, so you never have to wonder how things are going at home. I love sharing the little moments so you can stay connected to your pets even while you're away. If anything ever seems out of the ordinary, I'll always reach out right away. And when you return home, you can expect your house to be just as clean, if not cleaner, than when you left.

Pet care experience
Growing up in Oregon, I spent as much time outside as I could. Whether I was working on the property, running, crabbing, hiking, or fishing, I was almost always around animals. That love for the outdoors and appreciation for others has stayed with me ever since. Today, I call Arizona home with my two German Shepherds, Zeus and Rhea, and my cat, Atlas. Outside of work, you'll usually find us exploring a new trail or training together. As a trail runner and large dog owner, I naturally gravitate toward bigger pups, but I genuinely enjoy caring for all kinds of animals: from energetic puppies, senior dogs, to cats, backyard chickens, the whole lot! I truly love getting to know each pet's personality and what makes them unique.

Kelsei was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make sure all of our variety of pets were happy and cared for. She took wonderful pictures of all of them every day that made us smile when we were away. She befriended the shy kitty, the spicy parrot, our lizard, and our other animals. I could tell she learned the personalities of each of them and gave them loving care accordingly. We will definitely book her again if she's available on our next vacation. Highly recommended!
Kelsei is THE BEST! I love reading the report cards from her visits - the writing summary and photos she send are so cute. We come from our travels to a very happy cat.
