The dogs loved staying with Kellyn! She played a ton with them and sent plenty of photos. It made leaving them for the weekend not so bad. She’s a great dog sitter and i would let her watch them again.

Kellyn was fantastic. She was available on short notice, kind, and compassionate. She took some great photos of my pup and really spent some quality time with him. Thanks so much!

Home full-time and love to run!

I love dogs like people and have been a devoted owner and caretaker of rescue dogs for years so I understand the variety of special needs rescues may require. In addition to my hands on experience, I am a member of and insured by Pet Sitters Associates. I also hold a certification as a dog-care specialist from Pet Sitters International and have received hands on First Aid/CPR training from the Oregon Humane Society.
I am ...

What Kellyn would like to know about your dog

In order to keep everyone safe and sleep soundly, dogs must be crate trained to stay with me. The pack will never be left alone for very long, but they must be separated in crates during the short occasions they are without humans for their own safety and comfort.
I need to know if your dog has any allergies or dietary restrictions.
What are the commands you use and do they have any specific rules at home - like staying off of furniture? How do they take to strangers and other dogs on leash? Do they have any unexpected triggers (my mom's dog freaks over reflected light)?
I take all breeds, but I am not able to keep intact dogs. I typically keep dogs from multiple families so I need to know how your dog interacts with dogs of different sizes and energies. I accommodate specific social needs based on current bookings. For example if your small dog has a history of attacking larger dogs and I have no large dogs currently booked, I will not take any large dogs in my home for the duration of your dog's stay. For safety reasons, I cannot take dogs over 80lbs unless they are already well-trained on the leash.
All dogs must be up to date on vaccines and flea prevention.

When Kellyn watches your pet

We live near lots of parks and love to hike! We go on a family hike every weekend, and when I have the right pack I go on a few hikes during the week as well. No matter what, I aim to start off every day right - with an adventure! Burning off that morning energy with physical and mental stimulation is one of the most important things for a balanced dog and finding a variety of places to go puts them in puppy paradise. I never take guest dogs off leash, but I do have a 50ft lead that allows me to enjoy time playing fetch outside with your pup. I also value one on one time with each dog playing stimulating, interactive games like cups. I have plenty of toys for tug of war and chewing though high value toys and treats will be restricted to prevent arguments between dogs. Lana particularly loves tug of war, even if her strength means she can only sit there while a small dog pulls!
My husband and I are very relaxed people which all dogs respond well to, and we have plenty of laps, couches, chairs, and dog beds to lounge in. They will get as many cuddles as they want and all the puppy loving they can stand! There will always be a lot of walks to keep everyone tired, happy, and feeling secure.
