I am currently working as needed at my job but, even then, my days are really open. I do have medical appointments here and there so sometimes I just need to leave the house for those but I try to return to the house expeditiously because I dont want the animals to be alone for too long. I understand not leaving dogs (especially) for too long between potty breaks so I can work around that but I try to stay at the house for 95+ percent of the time I am sitting. I purposely work around the animal's schedule so that they can be as comfortable and cared for as possible.

I try to get as much information from the owner as possible so that I can make the time as similar to when the owner is around. I know changes can be stressful so avoiding any as much as possible is the best. I am known to be a cuddler but if they want their space I can definitely give it. I can give outside time to the best of my abilities and can transport in my own car with great safety if needed (e.g. if they love lake play, etc.). For younger animals, I can give regular care and make sure the space stays clean and cared for as best as possible. I understand that they need more supervision and help. I also try my best to keep an eye on outdoor heavy animals and shy animals to make sure theyre doing alright during my stay as well.

Biggest thing I need to know is- medications (with times, administration, and storage), special needs and how to work with them. Any big behaviors that may be important to pay attention to, or that could otherwise affect my time with them (for example, escape artist or will eat anything that stays still). Also, any comfort items, or actions-- If they're stressed out it's nice to know how I might help them through it.

I know each animal likes different types of play and stimulation so I'll do my best to find the right match. Different games, more outside time, going to a dog park or creek/lake. Indoor, can also play around, but even set up a lick mat (if provided), or a time consume treat toy like a kong (if provided).

Your Furbaby's Next Best Friend

I strive to treat everyone's furbabies with the highest level of care as if they're my own. I've cared for every age of dog and cat for...really my whole life. I can administer medications and keep an eye on and assist more "special needs" furbabies if needed. I am a Biology major and try to learn as much as I can to care for animals the best I possibly can. I am currently working on animal first aid but I do know human FA so I can spot an emergency and care for minor wounds.

Kelly is super sweet and pays attention to detail. She took care of my precious pup babies as if they were her own. I don’t trust very many people to stay at my home and watch my dogs, and I completely trust Kelly and would have her watch my dogs again and again. I highly recommend Kelly if you are needing a calm, sweet, reliable, respectful, and responsible human to watch your precious pups.
