I work from home with a flexible schedule, so dogs aren’t stuck alone for long stretches. Mornings start with yard time and breakfast. Midday is a walk or quiet rest, depending on what your dog wants. Evenings flex to the dog: longer walks and outings for the active ones, couch time for the dogs who’d rather decompress. You’ll get daily photos and videos so you can see how they’re actually doing.

Plenty of dog gates and separation infrastructure means dogs and kids have their own space when needed, and new dogs can decompress before meeting my resident dogs. I do slow introductions before any overnight stay and keep food and medications on a clear schedule. Fully fenced backyard, single-story home, no stairs to navigate. Crates available if your dog prefers one. Your dog stays in a real household with people who actually want them there.

Your dog should come home relaxed, not relieved it’s over. Some dogs want to come along on the good stuff with us: walks through Orenco Woods, hikes in the highlands, lazy afternoons at my sister’s duck farm. Others want a quiet couch and someone to sit with them, and that’s just as welcome. A year of professional sitting with consistent five-star reviews, and I’ve cared for everyone from a few-month-old puppy to a senior with arthritis. I take a maximum of two dog families at a time, so your dog gets real attention instead of a spot in a pack. No bite histories.

We used Kelly while visiting the area from out of state, and she was fantastic with our miniature schnauzer. She was able to accommodate us on very short notice, which we really appreciated. Our dog can be a little anxious around other dogs, and even though Kelly was boarding other dogs at the time, she made sure our pup felt safe, comfortable, and never overwhelmed. She also sent us pictures and videos throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely book with Kelly again and highly recommend her!
