We hike or get out to the river daily. Boarding dogs and working on my property is all I do as a working vacation for the summertime. I will be with your dog 100% of the time they are under my care. Your dog will be under my care and supervision 24/7 unless I need to run a quick errand and it’s too hot for them to be left in my vehicle

I am grateful to offer a unique experience for traveling dogs. My favorite river trips are when one dog shows another how to swim! Important information to note: Although I have 2 acres of fenced property for dogs to enjoy, the fence is a field fence where some spots have a gap where the ground meets fence and they could push on it to get underneath. It is designed for keeping wildlife out. If your dog is an escape artist, they will most likely be able to get out, so please consider if other visiting dogs are roaming free, this will likely stress your dog out if they must remain on a tether. I don't recommend this arrangement. Additionally, I keep my drop off/pick up times Between 8 AM and 8 PM. Please consider boarding your dog the night before if you would like to get an earlier start (or end) to your day

Medical issues? Resource guarding? Favorite activities and activity level? Reactivity? Because I have two dogs of my own that they will be sharing space with, your dog must have a solid history of positive dog interactions for dog day care/boarding services. All breeds welcome, but no incessant barkers, escape artists, hyper active or nervous dogs that are unable to settle please. (I love all dogs, but my own dogs require chill time and non-stop active dogs who aren’t good at taking social cues are not a good fit for them)
A typical day
We go to the Flathead river daily and swim or hike. I like to take the dogs on at least a 3 mile hike. Is your doggy up for it? We all pile in my mini cargo van and head out for a fun adventure even if your dog is not a swimmer!

Hi I’m Kelly! My dog adventure camp is located on 2 shady acres of fenced property located between Whitefish and Columbia Falls, and 21 miles from Glacier National Park West Entrance. I allow a maximum of 3 guest dogs per day, in addition to my own two lovely, laid back dogs. I cost a bit more, but rest assured, your dog will NOT be having a boring, noisy, or stressful kennel experience. They will be enjoying an exhilarating, adventuresome day just as you are! Anyone planning a day, backpack, or raft trip and needing care for their pups while visiting anywhere you aren't able to take your dog 🙃, should contact me. I’ll be keeping them active with dog friendly hikes and river outings! I am a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT) (Wunderdogtrainer-com), based out of Santa Cruz California, and certified in Pet First Aid. As a career professional, I have experience with varieties of dogs, their unique personalities and behaviors. Your dog will be under my care 24/7. They will have the freedom to socialize with the other (maximum 5 dogs) throughout the day on my fenced property, and a daily trip to the Flathead river or a dog friendly hike. We play and relax in the morning and go to the river in the afternoon. Every Day. I live in a rustic minimalist environment in a tiny home. My forested and fenced property is quiet, rural and away from busy roads. It offers lots of room to roam and sniff around for enrichment. We spend most of out time outdoors and your dog will too, but there is also shelter available from rain and stormy weather. Your dog can always cozy up in a dog bed on the floor in my tiny home if they choose to.

Kelly is the BEST. She took my dogs to the river, sent me photos, and the pups were nice and tired when I got them back. I was able to spend the day in Glacier NP (her house is located between Whitefish and GNP) and know that my dogs were being well cared for. Kelly has a gorgeous piece of fenced property where the dogs could wander around and explore. Great energy all the way around. I look forward to booking Kelly again when I'm in the area!
