Welcome to our pet-friendly home!
I grew up in a family that always had a dog. I then had cats on my own. Since then, I have owned two dogs, one a Jack Russell and now a Havanese/Maltese. We love spending time with our dog and would welcome the opportunity to take care of other people's pets in our house. We live on the edge of a forest in Lynn Valley, so we spend a lot of time walking in there. I take care of a lovely Labradoodle a couple of times each year and my dog loves to play with her. I am off work for the summer months, so I am available to spend a lot of time with your dog then. Now, I can take your dog for a long weekend, as I finish work on Thursday at 5 and am off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If your dog is ok to stay home with Sunny, I can also take your dog during the week. We like to walk in our area or head to the Mosquito Creek dog hike in North Vancouver. Our dog would love some company and we would welcome your dog into our home. We live in a townhome, so we go for lots of walks throughout the day. Our home has a lot of stairs, which might be important if you have a senior dog. We love our dog and would treat yours with the same care and attention. I am a teacher, so I have a great deal of patience!

Ivy had such a wonderful time with Kelly! It was clear from all the photos and updates that she was having the best time going on hikes, exploring, and getting lots of love and attention. Kelly took such great care of Nova and he went on some amazing adventures. My mind was at ease while we were away and I came home to a happy pup who had made a new best friend!
We were so happy with Kelly, she was just wonderful with our dog, and her pup is so sweet as well. This was our first time using Rover and we were nervous about finding someone who would love on our pup as much as we do but Kelly really gave her so much attention and made us feel so comfortable. After a weekend there I think she might like their house more than ours! It was a great experience and I would absolutely recommend Kelly to any dog families out there.
Kelly was lovely with my dog and he really loved to stay the night with her. They had a great time together and I would recommend Kelly for sure.

Schedule
I work Mon.-Thurs. so if your dog can stay alone with ours, they can keep each other company while I am at work. I walk our dog at least three to four times per day. Weekends and Fridays are totally free to spend with the dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a crate here if your dog needs one while I am at work. Otherwise, Sunny stays happy on our couches and is not crated.

A typical day
We love to walk through the forest at the back of our home. We also like to experience new walks around the neighbourhood. We hike weekly up Mosquito Creek. Our dog loves to go hang out at the different dog parks in North Van. If this is something your dog likes, I would be happy to bring your pet too!
