I am a single woman in my 50's. I have been a teacher for 25 years. I quickly bond with both children and animals. My two sons are all grown up, but we had every pet imaginable while they were home (except reptiles!!). We literally had everything from hamsters to horses. I absolutely love animals, and feel that this chapter in my life, I am better to visit them as I plan on travelling. I am a quiet, empathetic person. I have never been into partying, or loud music. I love reading, hikes, small towns, thoughtful reflection and wholesome foods. I don't have any reviews on this site, as I just joined, but I have taken care of the houses and pets of family and friends and on other sites. I am happy to provide references. I am super neat and tidy. (I accidentally tamed a few calves while taking care of a friend's beef cattle farm! My farmer friend thought I had fed them treats, but really, I was just a bit of a rookie lifting bales of hay with the tractor, so I spent a good bit of time singing and forking hay in the barn, and magically the calves became as friendly as puppies!) I will treat your pets as my own, and the snuggles and cuddles I receive in return will fill my heart with happiness!

5 stars is not enough. Kelly was fabulous. She sent us photos and videos regularly of our pup with updates. We returned to an immaculate house and a healthy, happy dog. To top it all off, she left us some delicious apple crisp in the refrigerator!
Kelly was absolutely fantastic with our pup that suffers from separation anxiety. We received updates and photos daily for the 8days we were out of the country. We came home to a clean house (and I know what our dog can do to it in a week), she snow blowed the driveway and there was a fresh apple crisp on the oven. I didn’t want to let everyone know how fantastic she was as I want her to always be available when we travel lol. Book her in advance because when someone is this good she will have limited availability
Kelly is a wonderful sitter. She took care of our cats, dogs and chickens. She kept in contact while we were away. She reached out when two of our kittens needed a vet assessment. We came home to a super clean home and fresh baked apple crisp. Kelly goes the extra mile. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
Kelly was amazing with my dogs again. What peace of mind to know she was looking after my home and pets while I was away. So lucky we found her!

I always ask the owners about medication, grooming needs, allergies, any specific triggers, and what foods the dog normally enjoys. I am happy to continue the usual routine that the owner provides.
A typical day
I love taking able-bodied dogs on hikes. I also love to just be present and calm with older dogs who just need company. I will adapt to your dog or cat's preferences.

I teach remotely, so I am available 24-7 to take care of your pets. If your pet needs to be let out, even while teaching, I just carry my laptop to the door!
