I grew up in a house full of animals (dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, fish) and loved it. Less than a year after moving out to attend college I got my own puppy (Havanese). 12 years later I found myself getting a second dog after my parents and a sibling adopted her other 2 sisters (English Cream Golden Retriever puppies). We dogsit for them, and of course they come to family get-togethers, so we're used to having extra dogs in our house! In 2025 we said goodbye to our first dog, and a few months later welcomed home our foster-to-adopt puppy (chihuahua-beagle mix). The kids love playing and cuddling with dogs and understand when they need space.
