Our regular client list is now fairly long and keeps us busy. We are no longer taking puppies. We take Rover dogs on a 2 week on, 2 week off cycle generally now.

One of the best things we have to offer is a doggy-social and inclusive space. Our doodle makes any pup feel more relaxed and comfortable. Joey our collie is more of a loner and like a big (grumpy) sister to all our visiting pups. We have a fenced back patio area and excellent air conditioning/heat pumps to keep everyone cool/warm and comfortable. Frequent potty breaks in our backyard area and walks to de-stress. We will follow your feeding routines and help your dog feel at home.. Our dogs are safe and friendly and fully vaccinated with flea/tick treatment. We know dogs well and will provide snuggles, snacks, play and rest time or give them their space as required.

The key info we have learned to ask about is whether or not your dog has anxiety issues. Does he ever “mark” inside? Are they up to date with flea meds? This is a MUST. Has your dog ever been left alone? Are they fairly independent or are they needy? Do they like to chill or do they need play? Let us know what your dog or cat’s needs are and we will be sure they are taken care of. I have taken care of animals with diabetes and Natalie is excellent with grooming. * Your pet must be up to date with vaccines and flea/tick treatment to be hosted in our home. And, of course, your dog must not be aggressive or unsafe with our dogs or other dogs. If your dog marks furniture indoors, we can’t take them.
A typical day
What is a typical day for us? We Absolutely love going to beaches, hike trails, and we have an excellent dog park nearby. I also love to mountain bike with my dogs so if your dog likes to run with a bike, we can do that too. Natalie is an excellent dog walker and walks every day. And, of course, we love to chill. Read, hang out and watch TV as well as play tug and play with our pups inside when we feel like it. A great balance between exercise and relaxation describes our life.

Hi! I am Kelly and my partner’s name is Natalie. Our main goal as Rover sitters? To offer your pet a vacation while you take a break or head out of town. Why not? Your furry family member deserves it! That’s why we try to make your dog’s time with us their “Home Away from Home”. And any drop in visit or walk a refreshing and connected time with us. We have both had pets all our lives: mainly cats and dogs. I have also been a teacher of 5-11 year olds for over 30 years so am very used to taking care of and noticing what others need. Nat teaches Kindergarten and is also an excellent caregiver and guardian. I have rescued dogs and cared for senior animals with health conditions. We also know how to train puppies. I am excellent with first aid for both animals and people. I have many years of first aid training for humans and know how to handle all the basics of cut paws or doggy mishaps as well. Natalie is excellent with training dogs large and small. Last but not least, we have air conditioning in our home and cars so can guarantee your pet is very comfortable this summer. :) Friends, students, colleagues and family tell me often that my calm, kind and relaxed nature make it easy to feel safe and loved. Natalie is a spirited, friendly Aussie from Melbourne. Our home is a warm, welcome and fun space for all. We live right beside Linley Valley Park so have a huge space to take the dogs for trail explorations. We also have one of the best dog parks in Nanaimo about a 5 min drive from our place. Grassy, very spacious with friendly dogs that frequent the area. We also go to one of the best off leash dog beaches on the island- BlueBack Beach. We have 2 of our own pups at home- one is a senior Collie and one is a three year old Bernedoodle. They get along with other dogs and are easy going. The doodle is playful! We love to hike, bike, go to dog parks and spend time at the beach. My partner and I can’t wait to meet your fur baby! P.S. I am happy to pick up and drop off your dog. We have an EV so it is a carbon-low service!

It was Mabel's first time with Kelly & Natalie. She came home a happy and tired girl. What can be better? I feel confident that Mabel was very well taken care of throughout the 2 days that she stayed with them. I will definitely look to book with them again.
