Loving Family Dog Care
I’ve had dogs all my life and grew up in a family that absolutely loved them. Over the years I’ve owned multiple dogs and currently have one much-loved dog of my own. I also regularly walk and look after friends’ dogs, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and is what inspired me to join Rover so I can offer the same loving, reliable care to other dog owners. As a teacher, I’m responsible, patient and organised, and I understand how important it is for owners to know their dog is in safe hands. Your dog will be welcomed into our family home, where I live with my two older teenage daughters, who have also grown up around dogs and love having them around. To ensure every dog receives the attention they deserve, I only care for one guest dog at a time (or dogs from the same household). I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible and keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re being cared for as if they were one of our own. My aim is to provide a genuine home-from-home experience where your dog feels safe, loved and part of the family.

Ratings and reviews
I have known Kelly, her family, and her wonderful dog, Ozzy, for the past five years. Ozzy is actually a close friend of my own Shih Tzu, Ted! Kelly possesses a wealth of knowledge about canine care and is deeply passionate about providing a true "home away from home" experience for every visiting dog. She knows all the best local walking routes, and Ted and I have loved discovering new trails with her. Kelly is kind, considerate, and thoroughly trustworthy. I would leave Ted in her care without a moment's hesitation—in fact, he loves her so much he probably won't want to come home!

Schedule
As I work full-time as a teacher, I offer pet care during the school holidays only. This means that when your dog stays with me, I’ll be at home for much of the day and can give them the time, attention and companionship they deserve. Our daily routine is relaxed and centred around your dog’s needs, with regular walks, playtime, cuddles and plenty of opportunities to rest. I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, exercise and any special requirements, so they feel comfortable and settled. By only accepting bookings during the holidays and caring for one guest dog at a time, I can provide a calm, home-from-home environment where your dog receives plenty of individual care and attention.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my priority. Before every booking, I’d like to arrange a meet-and-greet so we can discuss your dog’s routine, personality and any specific needs, helping them settle in as quickly as possible. I have a fully fenced and secure garden where dogs can safely enjoy time outdoors. Inside, they’ll be welcomed into our family home and treated as one of the family. I also have a friendly Working Cocker Spaniel who enjoys the company of other dogs, and because I only accept one guest dog at a time (or dogs from the same household), I can ensure a calm, relaxed environment for everyone. I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks and any medication if required. If your dog is crate trained or you would prefer them to have their own quiet space, I’m happy to provide a crate during their stay. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is safe, happy and receiving plenty of love and attention.

A typical day
A typical day starts with breakfast at around 7:00 am, followed by a lovely morning walk of approximately 1 to 1½ hours, depending on your dog's age, energy level and needs. The rest of the day is spent together at home, where your dog will be treated as part of the family. We'll enjoy plenty of playtime in our secure garden, enrichment activities, cuddles and, of course, time to relax and snooze. Dinner is served at around 5:00 pm, followed by another enjoyable walk of around 1 hour before we settle down for a calm evening together. Bedtime is usually around 10:00 pm, ensuring everyone gets a good night's sleep ready for another fun-filled day.
