I currently am a special education middle school teacher in a school that is close to my home. This means that I do work full time. I currently do not have any animals in my home. For the dogs that need a potty break every 4 hours, I am able to accommodate that into my schedule due to my work being so close to home. I have experience with giving meds to dogs, or sticking to specific diet restrictions.

In my home, dogs will be allowed on my couch and bed. My apartment community is very dog friendly with walk ways throughout the grounds, along with dog waste disposal bins. I only allow up to two dogs in my care at a time, unless it is a larger animal, then it will only be one. I am not yet ready to get a new dog after the passing of my own, but I have so much doggy love to give that I thought this could be a way to do it!

Information Kelly K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about any medications or quirky things about your dog. I’m typically able to accommodate. My soul dog that has now passed over the rainbow bridge had so many quirks that it doesn’t bother me to help out any way I can.
A typical day
We will definitely have a sniff walk! Did you know that just 15 minutes of a dog sniffing is like an hour or a walk? I typically like to do 30 minutes to an hour for a walk. I also love to play with a dog’s favorite toys and play fetch. Plus, if their owner allows it, a pupsicle or pup cup is on the menu!

Pet care experience
I have had dogs growing up my whole life. When I went out on my own, I adopted a dog (see my profile). He passed after 14 years. He had many challenges: reactive, aggressive towards other dogs and people, etc. I got to have the experience of loving a dog that was hard for others to love. I also gained experience of caring for a senior animal at the end of his life.
Reviews

Kelly was quick to respond and her home was clean and welcoming. Kelly did a great job of keeping us informed about our pet while we were away. Thank you, Kelly for your kindness and care of our pet.

Kelly took great care of our boy! He came home happy and healthy. She sent lots of updates and gave him the care he needs. We would definitely use her again.

Kelly stayed at our place for two nights and took great care of our two dogs. It was nice to be away from home and feel comfortable. We knew Kelly was on it. Great walks, company and TLC for the pooches.
Kelly Kirk has been walking my dog Milo for at least six to eight months. She is an excellent help and very reliable. On rainy days she even fills out the shorter walk with play time inside! Recently Kelly kept my dog while i was gone for six days. He was so well cared for and in great shape when I returned home. I have given Kelly keys to my home with no worries. I really appreciate her partnership.
