Besides having dogs as my best friend all my life, I have also worked for Animal shelters and a privately owned rescue shelter. One shelter I worked for had 75 dogs I cared for and learning as much as I could for them was beneficial for my safety and the dogs well being.

I have always believed that pets are much like children, if I can see or hear them I have to check on them. I like to be familiar with any "noises" a dog makes for particular needs. I am a published writer and will most likely spend time on my laptop. And I need silence so I hear everything!

Schedule
I am currently retired and have lots of flexibility. I sometimes travel for business but this is easy to work around. And I know well in advance.
