Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work Monday through Friday during the day, and while I'm at work, my roommate is home until early afternoon. Because of that, dogs are typically only alone for about four hours during the day. Outside of work, I'm home most evenings and weekends. My routine is calm and consistent, which helps dogs settle in quickly. I keep their feeding, potty, and bedtime schedule as close to home as possible so their stay feels familiar and low stress.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's safety and comfort always come first. My home is quiet, calm, and kid-free, making it a great fit for dogs who appreciate a more relaxed environment. I pay close attention to body language, respect each dog's comfort level, and never force interactions. If your dog enjoys being social, they'll spend time with me and Gracie. If they prefer their own space, I have a separate room where they can relax with their bed or crate. I believe communication is just as important as great care, so you'll receive regular updates and photos throughout your dog's stay.

Information Kelly G. would like to know about your pet

Before every stay, I like to learn about your dog's routine and personality so I can provide the best care possible. A few things that are especially helpful: • Are they comfortable staying in a crate if left alone for a few hours? • What's their daily routine for meals, potty breaks, walks, and bedtime? • How do they do with other dogs and new people? • How would you describe their personality? • Do they have any fears, triggers, medical needs, or allergies? • Are there any house rules or favorite comforts you'd like me to continue while they're here? The more I know ahead of time, the smoother and more enjoyable the stay will be for everyone.

A typical day

Every dog is different, so I try to make their stay feel as close to home as possible. I'll follow your dog's normal routine for meals, potty breaks, walks, naps, medications, and bedtime. Between those routines, we'll fill the day with whatever they enjoy most, whether that's walks, playtime, relaxing in the yard, cuddling on the couch, or simply hanging out while I go about my day. For confident, social dogs, I'm also happy to include them on dog-friendly outings with your approval. The goal is simple: a predictable, comfortable stay where your dog feels safe, relaxed, and cared for.

Pet care experience

I've worked with dogs for many years in professional daycare and boarding, and I also foster through rescue. Caring for dogs isn't just something I do, it's something I genuinely enjoy. I've cared for shy dogs who need time to build trust, seniors who thrive on routine, energetic puppies learning the ropes, and big goofy dogs convinced they're lap dogs. Every dog is different, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel comfortable, confident, and at home. I also work in healthcare, where paying attention to details and communicating clearly are part of my everyday job. That naturally carries over into how I care for your pet. You'll receive thoughtful updates so you always know how they're doing.

Kelly was amazing! She took such wonderful care of Harley! She got him to eat which he barely does when he’s not with me. Great job! Kept sending photos and kept us up to date. I will definitely use her again! Thank you so much Kelly!!
