Pet care experience

Full-time care: paws, fins + more!

I’m a full-time pet caregiver with more than 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, cats, fish, and other small pets. I’ve also been actively involved in animal rescue and fostering since 2021. One of my most meaningful experiences was fostering a blind and deaf senior Chihuahua with Cushing’s disease in hospice care for over a year. This strengthened my ability to provide patient, individualized care for senior, anxious, special-needs, and medically complex pets. I’m also comfortable following detailed instructions and administering oral medications. My experience includes dog walking, drop-in visits, boarding, and overnight house sitting. I prioritize maintaining each pet’s normal routine while providing plenty of exercise, enrichment, affection, and companionship. You’ll receive thoughtful photos, detailed updates, and prompt communication throughout your pet’s care. Multi-pet families are especially welcome! I keep my sibling rates affordable so pets from the same household can remain together without the cost multiplying for each pet. For added peace of mind, every service booked and paid for through Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes 24/7 support and up to $25,000 in veterinary care reimbursement for eligible claims.

Above and beyond home and pet care. Great communication and care with the pets - they loved her and we came home to happy, calm dogs. Took amazing care of the house and was all around wonderful!

Kelly was a wonderful cat and house sitter! She was responsive to my communications, kept me informed about my cats’ happenings, and was a pleasure to interact with. It’s wonderful to have peace of mind when I travel and Kelly provided that!

Kelly communicates often and dealt with an issue with the door well. Very professional. All of the pets were happy and healthy when I returned from the weekend.

Kelly was an awesome sitter for our dog with separation anxiety! It was our first time booking and she couldn’t have been more accommodating. Kelly sent frequent updates and photos to keep us informed while we were away. We’d recommend her to anyone.

House Sitting • Aug 02, 2026

Kelly was amazing! It was our first time using Rover and she helped ease my first time jitters. Our dog has separation anxiety and she was available to house sit and be there the majority of the time. She sent videos and photos for our kids and us to see. She walked and played outside a lot keeping our dog active and thus calmer.

Schedule

Pet care is my full-time work, so my daily schedule is organized around the pets in my care. I offer flexible availability throughout the day and week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and many holidays. This allows me to accommodate established routines, recurring services, and last-minute requests when availability permits. I plan travel time carefully between bookings and avoid overbooking so each pet receives their full scheduled time and attention.

Safety, trust & environment

I begin each booking by reviewing the pet’s routine, behavior, triggers, health needs, and emergency information. I double-check doors, gates, collars, harnesses, and leashes before transitions, keep dogs leashed outdoors unless safely contained in an approved area, and monitor the weather to ensure outdoor activities remain safe. I have experience with crates and crate training and am comfortable following an established crating routine when needed. I can also safely manage designated areas of the home using baby gates, closed doors, playpens, or other barriers according to the pet parent’s instructions. This can be helpful for maintaining boundaries, separating pets during meals, or providing each pet with a comfortable space. My goal is always to provide as much safe, supervised time outside confined areas as possible, with plenty of attention, exercise, and enrichment. In a client’s home, I follow all access and security instructions, maintain the pet’s familiar environment, and leave the home clean and securely locked. Meet-and-greets are welcome so we can review care instructions and ensure everyone feels comfortable before the booking.

A typical day

A typical day balances physical activity, mental enrichment, companionship, and rest based on your pet’s age, health, and energy level. Activities may include neighborhood sniff walks, exploring the park near my home, fetch, tug, puzzle toys, treat-finding games, practicing familiar cues, or simply relaxing together. For cats, I offer interactive play with their preferred toys, opportunities to climb and explore, brushing if they enjoy it, and quiet companionship on their terms. Senior or lower-energy pets can enjoy shorter outings, gentle play, and plenty of comfortable rest, while energetic pets receive more active engagement throughout the day.

Please share your pet’s usual routine, personality, medical conditions, medications, allergies, mobility needs, fears, triggers, and preferred activities. I also need to know how long they are accustomed to being alone and whether they use a crate or designated area of the home. For everyone’s safety, please disclose any history of biting, resource guarding, escape attempts, leash reactivity, destructive behavior, or difficulty around unfamiliar people or animals. These behaviors do not automatically prevent me from accepting a booking; knowing in advance allows me to prepare and determine whether I can safely meet your pet’s needs. Because I live in a condo with shared walls, dogs who bark frequently or become highly vocal when left alone may be better suited to house sitting in their own home. My goal is to choose the safest, most comfortable care arrangement for every pet.
