Hi! Thank you for visiting my profile to learn more about me the services I offer. I do require a meet and greet prior to booking all services with new clients. This is a way for you to see me interact with your pet(s) and for me to ask questions about your pets and their routine. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! My love for animals started as a child. Like a lot of people, our home became refuge to many animals, and I quickly learned how much I enjoy caring for them! We had several cats and dogs, along with goats, rabbits, and a few rehabbed squirrels (my dad was a tree trimmer and saved nests when cutting down trees). I have taken care of farm animals a few times for a family friend, as well. My real passion lies with two types of pets: the elderly and the scared/reactive/nervous. We have been so fortunate to foster dogs with a local rescue over the years. Some of the dogs we fostered were very, very fearful and we were able to provide them with love, care, and patience as they healed from their previous lives. They were able to be rehabilitated into happy-go-lucky adoptable dogs who found amazing homes. I have also cared for dogs at the end of their lives and provided necessary medical care, along with extra snuggles and treats. I feel it is an honor to care for these pups and give them a calming environment when their humans are away. My grandma always said, "patience is a virtue", and I believe it's so important to be patient with our companions. I strive to listen to your pet's cues and ensure they feel comfortable and safe with me. I have been on Rover as someone LOOKING for the perfect pet sitter for years. There have been some wonderful, truly awesome dog sitters; but there have also been sitters that did not fit my family's needs (4 dogs with many quirks between them). I have a lot of dog experience and am looking forward to seeing if I'm the right fit for you and your family! I am currently taking a break from staying overnight in client's homes. PLEASE READ: I do offer house/pet sitting, but I am not able to stay in your home during the night. If your pet(s) are able to be alone overnight, I am happy to care for them during the day.
