My husband is fully retired, so he is home throughout the day. He is able to take the dogs out several times a day while I am at work. I work outside of the home but can stop by during my lunch hour if necessary. In the evenings, I would primarily take over the care. We have a room in our basement for inside play and for crating.

We have a wonderful fenced-in back yard that is accessible from downstairs and we have a gate entrance. On the side of the house. We currently own 4 dogs and 1 cat and all of them have plenty of room to play and rest. We have a spacious home which allows for safe indoor play and space to separate if necessary.

A typical day
We play outdoors several times a day which includes playing fetch and interacting with our dogs. We provide lots of personal attention. Our yard is well balanced with sunshine and shade.

I started taking care of animals when I was 11 years old. I helped family, friends, and neighbors with taking care of their pets while on vacation. Most of my experience is with dogs, but I have had a few cats and have provided foster care to kittens.

I hate to be honest here. For fear that Kate and Ken will not be available when we need them in the future. They were so attentive to Tripp. Their dogs and our dog played so much. I received pictures and videos daily showing the smile on his face. We don’t have a yard as big as theirs. Or other dogs for him to play with. So this was a real treat for him. They understand our dog’s communication style. Let him be a dog. Play like a puppy. But also balanced it with the guidance and directions he is used to. Both Ken and Kelly were exactly what we hoped for when we signed up for care. We drove 40 minutes to drop him off and pick him up. Both my husband and I believe it is worth it. Previously Tripp had been boarded at a kennel. I started using Rover in hopes that he would get more interaction with dogs and humans while we were gone. Boy! Did Ken and Kelly do that! Thank you for loving him like one of your family!

Where do I begin with this 5-star review of Kelly C??? This was Champ's 3rd visit with Kelly and her husband and we already knew our pup was in the best of hands! We felt very secure in leaving him with Kelly and her pack for a longer stay as we were traveling overseas. Well, thankfully he was in such trusted hands, because a few days into our trip, Champ, a German shepherd, developed bloat (GDV) which is life threatening and requiring emergency surgery. Sadly, this is all too common in larger breeds like Shepherds. Thanks to Kelly's and her husband's quick action (and with constant communication with us in a different time zone), Champ arrived at the emergency clinic in time, was immediately rushed into surgery, and the amazing specialists at University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in Columbia treated him successfully. Post surgery, Kelly and her husband took wonderful care of him in his recovery until we could return from our trip to a happy and healthy dog. Needless to say, we are incredibly thankful to have found Kelly and her family and can't say enough about how grateful we are to them! If we could give more than 5 stars, they would be difficult to count!
