I have many years of experience caring for my own pets as well as other family’s pets from dogs to backyard chickens. I’m a graphic and web designer who works from home, so I can accommodate most any scheduling needs. I take lots of breaks to play with my dogs and guests. It keeps all of us happy! (PLEASE SEE MY UPDATED POLICY ON MEET AND GREETS AT THE END OF THIS PROFILE) While I will be your pet’s primary caregiver, my husband and kids also help out with our guests when they are home. They love spoiling our friends with love and playtime. I also have grooming experience and can offer basic services such as baths, comb-outs, and nail trimming (Sorry! No anal glands or fur trimming/styling - unless your dog enjoys a bowl cut.) We now have three dogs of our own (including an abandoned pandemic pup!) Everyone gets along fantastically with all of our guest dogs. I love them, but my big dog is unpredictable around cats. However, I am happy to come to your home and spend time with your cats! However, please note that you and your dog will NOT be introduced to my dogs at this time. I no longer host dog-on-dog M&Gs. I’ve found that dog M&Gs can be stressful for all involved and not a good representation of how everyone will get along during a stay. This is due to the small window of time during the M&G and all the dogs being nervous and/or excited. So instead I do a slow introduction at the beginning of the stay - and this method has proven to be 100% successful. I can give you more details about this process if you would like to know more. If you and your pet would like to meet me and visit my property, I am happy to accommodate a Meet & Greet. It's a great opportunity for both of you to get comfortable with me prior to a stay. ****Visiting dogs may be dropped off and picked up between 7am and 7pm**** In addition to pet care, I am also a graphic designer. I work from home and split my time between the two jobs. I rarely leave the house when guest dogs are visiting. So I am available for their care and safekeeping at all times. Feeding: We feed our family dogs together and separate any guest dogs to avoid any potential food aggression. Outdoor time: When the weather allows, I keep my back door open and dogs can come in and out as they please. My backyard is fully enclosed with 6 foot privacy fencing. We also supply the dogs with multiple fresh water bowls and a misting tent during hot weather. My front yard is enclosed with 4.5-foot chain link fencing. Dogs are monitored at all times when they are in the front yard (never know who will decide to become an Olympic jumper!).
