Kelly can care for
Availability
I can accommodate just about any schedule and times including my arrival and departure. I keep to what your pets are accustomed to as closely as possible trying to duplicate you being home. I leave a buffer after your sit just in case your return is delayed, especially if you’re flying so I can be very accommodating and you’re not left hanging.

I approach my sit tailored to your needs from the information gathered at the meet and greet, planning beforehand how I want it to go. I make sure my entering your home is calm, friendly and peaceful whether you’re there when I arrive or not. I use treat bribery and positive reinforcement. I use calming techniques that can include chill music and being quiet together or talking softly and nicely to them. I always want there to be happy associations with me. If they are fearful, this process can take a long period of time as I go at their pace and comfort level. I do not push. I ensure they’re always fed and watered as instructed (I can handle complicated food routines no problem), cleaned up after, given meds where needed, time outside. Loving, cuddling and playing as directed by them. I follow queues for what your pet wants to do and act accordingly. I send updates daily in the evening with how the day went, if there are any concerns (like if they’re having stomach issues), anyone they interacted with, what we did and how their mood is. This includes videos and an assortment of pictures. I take pride in my clients coming home to everything tidy and happy pets.
Information Kelly B. would like to know about your pet
Personality. Are they shy? Are they food/treat/toy aggressive and/or motivated? Are they reactive to anyone? Fearful? Friendly? Confident? Weird diet or things they need? What is their energy level and how do you burn it when needed? Medical needs or concerns? To set us up for success, if your pet is fearful of people or reactive, please let me know beforehand. This will determine my approach.
A typical day
Walk(s)/outside/yard time (if applicable), play, treats and positive interactions. Lots of cuddling if they’re up for it! Cuddling is my favorite part of getting to be with animals. I don’t currently have my own so sitting is an outlet for love. My hands are scratching them if they’re within reach. Whatever you usually do is what we will do plus my own spoiling. I don’t do dog parks or go for car rides due to the unpredictability of the public. If they are super shy, working with them at their pace to become comfortable. I don’t force myself on them, just let them sniff me, check me out, talk to them nicely and reassure them I'm friendly and let them let me know what they’re comfortable with. Bribery with treats. My favorite feeling is having a reactive or fearful animal decide we’re best friends. I see it as I’m there to be their butler catering to their every need.

24/7 from experienced volunteer
Pet care experience
NOTE: •I provide “Constant Care” (24/7 mostly). This means I do not do another job. Your home and pets are my only focus. If I leave it’s only for a short period to run an errand or quick appointment. I offer to do extras around your home for you as if you were there. I provide a higher level of care than a standard sitting. •Large, high energy and/or reactive dogs I take case by case basis. Please let me know prior to meet and greet if this applies to you so I know how to approach. •I require a meet and greet before any booking. Not negotiable. Volunteered with a large, very well respected Seattle suburb rescue for 2 years as a kennel cleaner and feeder while specializing and assisting with the abused and under socialized. Rescue work and volunteering got to be too much for my heart after so long so now I give back by helping owners who have a hard time finding a sitter because they don’t have the easiest situation. I’m experienced with seniors, difficult cases and special needs. I have house/pet sit for family, friends and referrals for many years before signing up professionally. I have owned cats and dogs for most of my life. I love both deeply. I have also fostered, transported, rehabilitated, studied, been around the showing world and am an all around major animal person. I am excellent at reading body language and knowing how to respond in healthy ways. I am able to give medications. I offer extras like getting the mail, taking in and out garbage, collecting packages, watering plants, etc. I handle any emergencies and keep you informed (like your fence falling down in a storm or your neighbors apartment flooding). I send detailed daily updates that includes pictures and videos. I don’t mind feeding fish, turtles or lizards as well. When you return, I leave your home like I was never there. Respecting your space is of high importance to me so I bring in all of my own gear. You have to provide nothing nor clean up after me. I want you to have peace of mind that I have everything handled being always around and reachable while you’re away.

Reviews

Kelly goes over and above taking care of our dogs, I get tons of updates and photos and videos so I can see how cared for and loved they are and I never have to worry about them when we’re gone. She even went out of her way to grab a package for our neighbor that was out of town when we asked if she could grab it for them, since we weren’t home ourselves to help. It’s such a good feeling to be out of town and know that our pets and our home are being cared for so well. We love Kelly and are so grateful to have found her!

This was our first time using a dog sitter and Kelly was amazing. The boys settled in and were comfortable in her care. It’s nice to have a trusted person take care of our dogs when we are away.

This was our first time having Kelly watch our dogs and she did not disappoint! Detailed nightly check-ins, along with meticulously caring for our dogs and their needs/mannerisms/quirks gave us so much peace of mind. We will definitely have her watch our pups again in the future!

We love Kelly! She spoils our babies and spends so much time with them. I love getting all the photos and videos and updates, it really puts my mind at ease knowing they’re so loved and well cared for, so I can truly enjoy my time away and not stress or worry about anything. This is not our first sit with her and it will not be our last. She’s great about communicating, super responsive and I know our dogs and the house are in good hands. And that is the best feeling when you’re away. ❤️
