Welcome to the bark side
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was small with dogs in the family, with friends and I now have a dog of my own, a jack russell, dachshund cross called Ava. Since Ava has come into my life, I’ve completed various dog training courses to ensure she is getting the best start and have enjoyed seeing the impact so much I have fallen in love with dogs even more now I understand them better. Most of my experience is with terriers and hounds, but I also have experience with pugs, spaniels, poodle crosses and border collies to name a few. I have taken care of dogs at different stages in their life and development from puppies to senior dogs who have varied personalities from chilled to nervous and reactive. My training has mostly been with IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Training) where I completed the 'becoming a dog trainer', 'body language' and 'dog nutrition' courses. With Ava, I’ve also completed recall classes and agility courses designed to enrich our dogs’ lives. Lastly I have also completely a puppy training course through Canine Science so feel well equipped to ensure different dogs and breeds have a wonderful fulfilling day with us.

Kellie was fantastic with Caz! She took him for a walk this afternoon and everything went perfectly smooth. Caz came back happy and well-exercised. I’d highly recommend Kellie to anyone looking for a reliable and caring walker!

Kellie is so kind and friendly, she made the whole process from meeting and greeting to drop off and pick up so easy and reassuring. Rudy had a great time, which was clear to see in his photos, and came home happy and tired. I highly recommend Kellie and hope to be able to book with her again in the future.
My girls had a lovely time with Kellie. Ava wasn't around on this occasion, and Kellie still doted on them and sent a steady stream of much-appreciated updates. Kellie is their home away from home, and I'm so grateful!
Kellie was so generous in accommodating a late-night pickup. She even met me at the station and walked part of the way home with me. The app didn't create a report card, so Kellie went to the trouble of writing her own, really helpful in understanding my dogs' behaviour and patterns.

Schedule
Ava's care is at the top of my list. Completing the various dog training courses, I have learnt that varied walks make for happy dogs. I live in a flat so we can often be found outside exploring a new park, walking trail or playing training games.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a dog of my own who is very well adjusted and loves having other dogs for company. We go for regular walks and play enrichment games to stay entertained and fulfilled as well as providing comfy beds for a calm environment where rest is just as important as enrichment. My dog was crate trained and still sleeps in it overnight so there is a crate available in my home should that make your dog more comfortable. I have a balcony with a sofa so when it’s warm we also sit on the balcony where my dog enjoys napping in the sun and people watching.

A typical day
A typical day would be an early morning sniffy walk followed by breakfast, after which my dog normally goes back to sleep whilst I get some work done from home. Late morning we go for a walk at the local park or walking trail followed normally by another nap for Ava. Mid afternoon we play training games before spending time outside on the balcony. Then later in the evening we go for a final sniffy walk or meet up with other local dog owners in the park. On an ad hoc basis, for a rainy day or more high energy dogs, I also have various treat puzzles, snuffle mats, kongs, training games and am currently reading a book on scent work to keep your dog occupied and fulfilled.
