Southern Hospitality for Your Pets

Hi, I’m Kellie! I’ve cared for animals my whole life—from beloved family dogs to backyard chickens to barn cats. I currently have a small backyard chicken farm, a big, gentle livestock guardian dog, Mellow, and two indoor pups: Gin, a calm, senior Boxer mix, and Babs, a bouncy and hilarious 1-year-old Chihuahua mix. They’re all well trained, social, and love making new friends—Gin brings the chill energy and Babs brings the zoomies! I offer boarding, house sitting, drop-ins, walks, and daycare. While I specialize in dogs at my home, I’m happy to drop in for cats or small animals too. I’ve fostered multiple dogs over the years, including rescues with special needs, seniors, and shy pups needing time to adjust. I’m patient, calm, and experienced in helping animals feel safe, secure, and loved. I also have a background in farm animal care and can handle feeding routines, medications, and animals with a variety of temperaments or quirks. Whether it's a puppy who needs structure, a senior dog who needs extra care, or a cat who prefers to be left alone—I respect their pace and their comfort. I keep a peaceful, structured routine and I work from home so your pets will have the attention they deserve. I’ll treat them like family—whether it’s belly rubs, bedtime routines, outdoor play, or quiet companionship while you’re away. Let me know how I can help you (and your pets) feel at ease while you’re apart. I can’t wait to meet them!

Kellie is a caring and dependable sitter! She was very diligent in caring for my cats and chickens and even offered to do extra chores to make sure my home was taken care of while I was gone. Not only did she thoroughly follow all of the detailed routines and complete the chores, but she took extra time to get to know my animals and spend quality time with them. She is also easy to communicate with and very responsive. It's clear she loves caring for animals and I highly recommend booking with her.

Luna and Chuck had a great time with Kellie and her furry friends! She sent me pictures of them having fun everyday, sent updates of how things were going, and even worked with my puppy to stop his bad habit of jumping on people. I could tell she was attentive to their needs and their individual quirks. She has a true passion for animals, that’s clear! I will definitely bring my pups back to her!

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and live on a small backyard farm. I’m up early, I take regular breaks throughout the day to care for animals, and I’m home most evenings and nights. That means your pets will get plenty of attention, outdoor time, and consistency. Whether it’s daily drop-ins or overnight boarding, I’m able to keep a calm, reliable rhythm for them while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

I take safety seriously—whether your pet is in my home or I’m visiting yours. At my home, pets are introduced slowly and supervised during interactions with my friendly dogs. I never leave pets unsupervised together until I know they’re fully comfortable. I maintain clean spaces, fresh water, and a structured but calm environment with lots of cuddles and quiet time. I follow feeding instructions closely and can administer oral meds if needed. In your home, I’m respectful, tidy, and detail-oriented. I stick to your pet’s routine as closely as possible and provide updates so you feel connected while you’re away. I treat every animal like my own—and every home with the same care I’d want for mine.

Pets

A typical day

Every day depends a little on your pet’s personality—but around here, there’s always a mix of calm, fun, and structure. For dogs staying with me, we start with a morning potty break and breakfast, followed by a little supervised outdoor time or a walk (weather permitting). My two friendly pups, Gin and Babs, love to play and help new dogs settle in—and Gin is especially great with shy or senior pets. We rotate between quiet hangout time inside, toys like tug rope and ball, outside time, and, of course, belly rubs and naps in cozy spots. For more active dogs, we’ll do extra play sessions and outside time to burn off energy. If your pet prefers a slower pace, I’m all about calm companionship and sticking to what they’re used to. For drop-ins, I make sure your pet gets their usual routine—meals, playtime, potty breaks, and a little love before I go. I also love sending photos so you can see what they’re up to while you’re away!

Before I care for your pet, I like to know as much as I can so I can keep their routine consistent and stress-free. Things that are helpful: Feeding schedule & dietary needs Medical conditions, medications, or allergies Any quirks, fears, or triggers (like storms, crates, or certain noises) How they do with other dogs (especially since I have two friendly pups at home) House rules you want me to follow—like furniture, treats, or crate time Their favorite toys, comfort items, or daily habits The more I know, the better I can make your pet feel at home and give them the best care possible!
