Pet care experience

Passionate Vet Nurse & Home All Day

Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, pocket pets, and reptiles. For six years, I worked as a veterinary nurse before deciding to turn my passion into a full time career as a professional pet sitter. I’ve fostered over 600 homeless cats and dogs who were at risk of euthanasia, and caring for animals has truly become my life’s work. Because pet sitting is my full time job, someone is home almost 24/7, aside from quick errands like grocery runs. I know how nerve-racking it can be to leave your beloved pet with someone else, so my goal is to make that experience as stress free as possible. I’ll treat your pet like family and am always happy to send photos, updates, and detailed report cards after each visit so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My Golden Retriever, Rory, absolutely loves making new friends and happily welcomes our boarding guests with open paws. We live on three acres, including one fully fenced acre where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under supervision. We also love taking boarding dogs on walks and hikes (with owner approval), and we enjoy games of fetch and plenty of enrichment. Your pet’s safety is always my highest priority. I carefully follow every instruction, pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs, and never leave dogs outside unattended. Dogs who are unfamiliar with one another are never left together unsupervised. Because there may occasionally be short periods when I need to leave the house for errands, I do require boarding dogs to be comfortable being crated so they can remain safe and secure. Whether your pet is staying for a visit or I’m caring for them in your home, you can trust they’ll receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, and compassionate care. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!

Kelli was great! She sent messages and pictures each day and my semi-clingy dog barely knew I’d left because of how engaging her dog Rory was. It was perfect. Her yard is huge! It had plenty of room to run about.

We love Kelli! She has watched our labs several times over the last few years, and our dogs love her - they get lots of attention and enjoy the huge yard to run in, and we feel so comfortable knowing they will get excellent care. Thank you Kelli!

Schedule

We do our best to keep every dog on the schedule they’re already familiar with, so it’s always helpful to know what a typical day looks like for your pup at home! A typical day here starts around 7:00 a.m. We head outside for a potty break, followed by breakfast. After meals, we like to give dogs about an hour to rest to help reduce the risk of an upset stomach, so they’ll have cozy dog beds and plenty of toys to enjoy while they relax, typically in our living room or bedroom with us! We have accumulated quite the toy collection over the years (thanks to many BarkBox deliveries!), so there’s no shortage of fun. Throughout the day, your dog will enjoy frequent potty breaks, supervised playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. We’re also big believers in mental enrichment. Every dog has different interests, so we tailor activities to what they enjoy. This might include leisurely “sniffari” walks where they can explore at their own pace, visits to private Sniffspots (with owner approval), hikes on dog friendly trails, food puzzles, scatter feeding, lick mats, training games, and other enrichment activities that help keep both their mind and body engaged. Our goal is for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while having a fun and enriching vacation of their own!

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We have a fully fenced, secure one acre yard where dogs can run and play, but they are never left outside unattended. Every pet in my care is treated like one of my own, and I take every precaution to provide a safe, loving environment. For the health and safety of all pets in my home, I require that boarding dogs are current on all core vaccinations and have been on veterinarian prescribed flea and tick prevention for at least one month prior to their stay. Proof of vaccination and prevention records is required before boarding. These policies help protect your dog, our current guests, and future boarding pups. Thank you for understanding and helping me maintain a healthy environment for everyone! We also have cats in our home. If your dog needs to be separated from them, we are happy to accommodate that. During especially busy times of the year, such as major holidays, complete separation can be more challenging due to the increased number of guests, so I appreciate knowing about any concerns or special requirements ahead of time. My goal is always to ensure every pet is comfortable, safe, and set up for a successful stay.

Pets

A typical day

Some of our favorite activities include: * Playing fetch and exploring our fully fenced one acre yard. * Leisurely “sniffari” walks where dogs can explore the world at their own pace. * Hikes on local dog friendly trails (with owner approval). * Visits to private Sniffspots for safe off-leash exploration (with owner approval). * Food puzzles, lick mats, scatter feeding, and other enrichment games that provide mental stimulation. * Plenty of supervised playtime with my friendly Golden Retriever, Rory, if your dog enjoys canine companionship. * Lots of cuddles, belly rubs, and relaxing time indoors with a huge selection of toys and comfortable dog beds. I also do my best to keep each dog on the routine they’re used to at home, including meal times, potty breaks, walks, medications, and bedtime routines. My goal is for every pet to have a fun, enriching vacation while you enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re being loved and cared for like family.

Knowing about any special needs or accommodations ahead of time is always incredibly helpful! With my background as a veterinary nurse, I’m comfortable administering medications and caring for pets with a wide variety of medical or behavioral needs. The more I know about your pet before their stay, the better I can tailor their care and ensure they receive the exceptional attention they deserve. I also love learning about your dog’s favorite toys, treats, games, sleeping habits, and daily routine. If they have a favorite blanket, bedtime ritual, or special comfort item, they’re more than welcome to bring it along! My goal is to make their stay feel as familiar, comfortable, and stress free as possible… like a home away from home. ❤️
