I work remotely for a veterinary clinic in Alabama, so my schedule is very flexible. Once my furbabies are cared for in the morning, I am ready to take care of yours!

Safety, trust & environment
After working in vet med for so long, I have seen horror stories first hand. With your permission, the first thing I do when entering a home is pick up items that could contribute to foreign bodies or gastrointestinal blockages. These items are placed safely and gently on your kitchen counter! I remain with dogs and cats throughout their feeding time to ensure no choking or vomiting. I prefer owners to have a fenced in back yard, just for my safety when I take your baby on leash into the back yard at night, but no worries if not. When it comes to the summer temperatures, I keep open communication with owners regarding walks and whether the heat and humidity may be too high for their baby. For behavioral concerns, I strictly follow your guidelines but also my own knowledge on animal behavior and signs that they may be fearful or uncomfortable.
Information Keleigh S. would like to know about your pet
No breed, age, or sex preferences. I would like to know vaccine records, any behavioral concerns, and what they like to do. Oh, and of course, their name and nick names ( come on... we all have those weird nicknames for our furbabies!)
A typical day
Walks, fetch, and playing with feather toys with cats is my favorite! Snuggles, basic canine obedience training if you are interested, and spending time outdoors for enrichment. I cater my visits to what your furbaby prefers.

Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Keleigh. I have been on a Rover hiatus for a few years but am finally in a remote work position where I can pet sit again! I have been a professional in the animal world for 10+ years, but I have been caring for cats, dogs, and small mammals since I was 8 years old (we don’t discuss how many years that has been ;)). With two challenging dogs of my own (and two pretty laid back senior cats), I understand how important it is to be able to trust your pet sitter to provide top notch care, whether you are at work or cruising the Caribbean. Animals are creatures of habit, so my priority as your pet care specialist is to keep them as close to their routine as possible to ensure a stress free transition from your care to mine. I have worked in veterinary medicine for 5+ years and have explicit experience caring for pets in surgical recovery, diabetic pets (including insulin administration), medication administration, oncology patients, pets with seizures, and pets with dietary restrictions or special needs. I have forged positive relationships with pets that have behavioral concerns through consistency, patience, and boundaries. I ensure their safety and comfort by strictly observing the guidelines you set forth for me. That being said, I am ALWAYS down for kitten kisses and puppy breath. Whether it is a lunchtime walk, a morning game of fetch, an overnight cuddle session, or providing your catbaby with their daily Churu, I am available to cater to your furry family member/s needs.

Reviews
My husband and I had never used Rover before and we were quite skeptical. Keleigh and I spoke on the phone at length then she came over for a visit. Her background, sense of humor, and genuine kindness made her the best match for my senior dog as well as my son's puppy. Kaleigh's knowledge and love of animals, as well as her incredible attention to detail, was critical as our dog ended up getting sick (nothing to do with Keleigh!). Keleigh's amazing communication all week via text and photos--numerous times a day--was incredibly helpful for us to understand what was happening since we were out of town. The spreadsheets that she kept for each dog contained such great details that it helped the vet to diagnose our dog's issue. Keleigh is absolutely amazing and there is no doubt that we will rebook with her. I highly, highly recommend!!

I am so grateful for Keleigh and the care she gave me while my mom was away! My name is Oakley and I am a 13 year old Jack Russell with a few health challenges and I require a mature, understanding, compassionate care giver. She had big shoes to fill because my "girlfriend" of 13 years decided to get married and move away. Mom was so sad because she was afraid there would never be another who would treat me as good as my old "girlfriend" did. But from the first time I met Keleigh I knew she was the girl for me! She went above and beyond to keep me company, entertained, challenged, and snuggled. She didn't even mind that I snore and she let me listen to my contemporary jazz music! Since I don't have thumbs I asked Keleigh to text my mom updates and pictures every day. And she did! But she did draw the line when I asked her to text the poodle down the street. She has a wonderful sense of humor and I hope we go out for coffee again soon! ps The only complaint I have is she did not believe me when I told her mom said I could have a house party. ;) - XOXO Oakley Gazippi Valentino

Keleigh took amazing care of our boy Kirby! Super detailed with the visit notes! We were delighted to see her updates from each visit 😊😊😊 such sweet attention to detail!

Keleigh did a great job watching our two Pomeranians, would highly recommend!
