I am a newly positioned PhD researcher and sadly my rescue spaniel/lab passed away. I miss working/caring for animals and with no pets of my own, and limited time to be a full time carer, I'm hoping to subsidise my studentship by providing top quality care for pet owners in my area.

I have capacity to stay in your animals home with them so they are not alone, cared for properly and conscientiously, and they feel safe and settled in their own environment.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs. I have worked with reactive and nervous cats and dogs and I am happy to arrange an initial meet and greet before booking. Multiple meet and greets may incur an additional charge depending on how far I need to travel (sorry but petrol prices are a nightmare right now sadly). Unfortunately I won't be able to accommodate pets with extreme separation (short/overnight stays will be considered), or extreme resource guarding unless a full and secure management and training system is already in place to keep everyone comfortable and safe.
A typical day
I can tailor a dog's daily activities based on their personality and needs. If they travel well in the car I am also happy to make use of secure rented fields for reactive dogs (booked at owners expense). I can create fun scent trails on walks or the dog's secure gardens if they need space from busy stressful walks.

I started my canine care career in boarding kennels and day care. I have since gained over 10 years experience working in UK dog rescue for three different rehoming charities locally and nationally as a behaviour, training and welfare specialist.

I highly recommend Keira who's dog sat twice for me now. She's clearly very knowledgeable about dogs. She's very patient and understanding with my anxious rescue Leo who obviously loves her. She's sent me videos and photos of walks, puzzles and games, and taken good care of my home. I feel very reassured leaving Leo with her while I'm away.
Keira is friendly and professional, and they were happy to meet my dogs before the sitting. They even came another day for a walk to see the area and to get to know my dogs' quirks. Throughout the sitting, they looked after my dogs, kept them happy, and sent updates and photos. Keira kept the house clean and tidy. Would be happy for Keira to look after my dogs again and would recommend to anyone 😊
Keira was great. Benji was a t ease very quickly with her, and the updates were much appreciated!
Keira is always amazing with Bentley! We Always feel safe leaving our boy with her, and lots of pics for peace of mind 😇
