My day revolves around my own pets- their needs are always met before mine are! We start our day with breakfast and puzzles, then take a nice long walk or hike. In the afternoon we have training time/games/puzzles and more outside time, then repeat again in the evening.

I always want to know about any behavior problems a dog may have including aggression toward people or other animals, anxiety, food issues, etc. I also like to know how dogs behave on and off leash, what commands they know, and general level of obedience. Any dogs that will be spending time at my house (boarding or daycare) are required to show proof that they are UTD on all vaccines and are required to have a meet and greet before booking.
A typical day
I love to go for walks, runs, or hikes and am very active in general. If you have any training needs we can chat about adding that in. I do positive reinforcement based clicker training, which is fun and enriching for dogs of all ages!

Hey there! I'm Keira, an animal lover extraordinaire with some impressive credentials. I just might be the most overqualified dog walker/sitter you've met! I hold a Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis and I'm a graduate of one of the most prestigious dog trainer programs in the world- the Karen Pryor Academy (I'm a KPA-CTP). But that's not all! I'm all about positive, fun, and force-free dog training. My rescue dog/best friend, Frida Pawlo, is a certified animal actor and holds 8 trick titles- the most recent being Trick Dog Champion. So, not only can I take care of your furry friend, but I can also teach them some awesome tricks or help tackle any training issues you're facing! Working from home gives me the flexibility to prioritize my own pets every single day. Frida gets her daily dose of adventure with at least two walks, playtime, puzzles, and training sessions. Weekends are reserved for even more excitement – we hit the trails, visit parks, and explore new sniff spots! With a fenced yard at my place, Frida and her bunny brother Rabbit D. Nero get to enjoy lots of fresh air and room to run. While Frida can be a bit shy with new dogs at first, she's a pro at making new friends once she feels safe. Wrestling, chasing, and tugging are her favorite games! Puppies are my specialty when it comes to Doggy Daycare. I'll provide top-notch care and offer training and socialization opportunities that will set them up for success. For any dogs that will be spending time in my home, I require proof of UTD vaccines, and a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. So, whether you need a reliable do walker, sitter, or trainer, I've got you covered. Let's create unforgettable memories and embark on a pawsitively awesome journey together!

Keira provides such a great environment for dogs. She takes extra time to give your dog the enrichment, love, and care they need. My dog loves going to hang out with her and her dog, Frida, and comes home such a happy pup. When you leave your pet with her you don’t have to worry at all and you know they will be extremely well taken care of - I would highly recommend Keira!
My dog Amos honestly used to be a monster. He's my trouble child rescue mutt. Keira knew this, and not only did it not scare her away, it actually intrigued her. When I had to go on a work trip I couldn't find anyone who was willing to watch my small monster, after all he had bitten multiple people. Keira came to the rescue and did an incredible job. Amos was actually better behaved, and had learned multiple new tricks after staying with her. I can't recommend Keira enough. Every time Amos gets to see her he's so excited.
As a long time friend of Dr. Keira, I have seen her turn ragged and helpless stray dogs into title-earning tricksters and certified on set acting dogs. I've never known such a knowledgeable and caring dog owner and caregiver. Keira is not only attentive, but has combined her love for dogs and her PhD in Behavior Analysis into a runaway passion for training, raising, and caring for dogs unlike any other I've known. I'd trust her with any dog in my life!
