I worked as an Animal Control Officer at the Nebraska Humane Society, where I cared for dogs of all temperaments, including nervous or reactive ones, along with rescue, safety, and daily care. Outside of that, I manage daily care and routines for adults with disabilities, work that’s taught me a lot about patience and paying close attention to what someone needs, a skill that carries over well to reading and caring for dogs too. My girlfriend and I have a dog and a cat of our own, and growing up, my grandma’s house was full of exotic animals, so caring for animals has just always been part of my life.

My experience as an Animal Control Officer at the Nebraska Humane Society means I’m well versed in how to care for pets of all kinds, and I know exactly what they need to feel safe, comfortable, and secure while you’re away.

Keenan is truly a pet whisperer. The minute he met my dog, she fell in love with him. He put her at ease right away and made her feel supremely comfortable while also maintaining a sense of discipline. He’s been very helpful in providing her with additional training and giving me tips on things I can do to make sure she behaves. Sometimes I worry my dog might like Keenan more than she likes me! 😂

Schedule
I just moved to Chicago and haven’t found a job yet, so I have an open schedule and plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, or boarding throughout the week. I’m available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, so I can work around your pet’s routine rather than the other way around.
