Availability

I currently work part-time. I have fairly flexible availability. My drop off and pick up times are usually 7am-9am and 5pm-11pm on weekdays. When home, I spend lots of time managing playtimes between boarders at my home, or snuggling with older pups who want more attention. I am always happy to accommodate to my client’s pets however they feel is important to the pet!

Safety, trust & environment

Pet safety is my number one priority. That being said, I REQUIRE proof of vaccinations before boarding. I require that every boarding dog with me has a Rabies, Distemper Combo (DHPP, DHLPP, DAPP), and preferably also a Bordetella. These must have been administered 2 weeks prior to their stay (unless previously vaccinated). My yard is a little under a half an acre, fenced in with a vinyl privacy fence. My house is 1500 sq ft which dogs get a free roam of! When it is warm out I have a pool for the dogs, splash pad, outdoor toys, and more! I have dogs of my own, all of which love meeting new friends! I have several years managing dog play groups and dog daycare, I am extremely knowledgeable in dog body language. My house is well equipped for separating dogs as well if needed. I have what I call the “doggy play room” set up downstairs in my house which has been slowly expanding. As of right now I have foam flooring for padded protection, tons of toys and enrichment options, and large pen-style set ups for kenneling as needed if dogs are too stressed or just need time to rest and nap. When caring for pet’s in people’s homes, I am courteous and compassionate. I follow instructions well and listen to how owners feel their pet would most appreciate my care. I follow feeding schedules exactly and have done many different medications of pets including insulin, liquid medications, capsule pills, and tablets. With several years of experience in veterinary assisting and medical boarding, I am completely comfortable caring for pets with more extensive medical needs!

Information Kayti C. would like to know about your pet

I will require proof of vaccines, as previously stated. Let me know if your dog has any medication or medical concerns. I am very attentive and will notice anything from a minor mass on your dog, to dry and flaky skin. I try to be very thorough making sure owners are aware of any medical concerns. Letting me know of things already present in advance helps me know you, as the owner, are already aware of them. I am very capable of giving medications and know quite a bit of medical knowledge, so medications and medical knowledge is no challenge for me!

A typical day

After breakfast and potty breaks, we do playtime! We play either inside or outside depending on the weather. If it’s cold and snowy I do let everyone play outside for a bit but have them come back in for inside playtime afterwards. Majority of the day is spent playing with toys and my dogs! I have them take mandatory naps every few hours a day, to make sure nobody gets too tired! We have tons of fun playing with all the toys and getting photos taken throughout the day.

Pet care experience

I have done dog sitting for several people for more than 10 years. I am Fear Free Certified and currently in the process of receiving my certification from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). I’ve worked at a boarding and daycare facility, as well as a vet clinic as an assistant for 3 years. I have worked at an animal shelter, caring for animals, for the last 2 years. I have done multiple private dog training sessions for anything from puppies to behavioral modification. Highly knowledgeable in canine enrichment and care. I have experience in caring for senior dogs and cats and I have taken care of a wide variety of breeds. I am experienced in administering medications of all varieties. I have cared for animals recovering from surgery and animals who need extra levels of care. If you want someone who you can fully trust to care for your pet who requires extra medical attention, I’m one of the best options in our area! I also have done dog bathing and grooming.
