My husband and I are dog lovers and have one of my own— our gal River is a 6 year old chocolate lab. We used to have another lab at home, so she definitely misses having a companion to play with, go on walks, and curl up with on the couch. We’ve always been go to dog sitters for friends, and we genuinely enjoy it. It’s important to us that owners feel confident their dog is getting plenty of attention, exercise, and care, so they can fully relax and enjoy their time away. Our pup River truly gets along with all dogs. She is both playful and very gentle with puppies while also very relaxed with senior dogs. We let animals on our bed & couch, so long as they are used to having that experience at their home. We have a great fully fenced back yard for them to enjoy and play. We both have flexible work schedules. No kids or other animals (except River) are in the home.

Kaylyn is an exceptional pet owner. She has the sweetest chocolate lab, River Hudson, who is both adorable and incredibly well behaved. I have known River for several years, and she is one of the most well-trained and friendly dogs I know, which speaks to how attentive and caring Kaylyn is as a dog owner. I have always been very particular and protective of my own dogs, and I would trust Kaylyn completely with any of them, whether young or old.
Kaylyn is the best dog sitter I have ever had! She played and took my dog on so many walks! My dog gets more excited to see her than she did to see me sometimes. Highly recommend!!!

Schedule
Pet care is part of our daily routine! We have a flexible work schedule allowing for consistent walks and check ins to ensure each pet feels at home in our home. We are a very healthy and active family who enjoys long walks and being outside as much as we can. Our work schedule during the week varies but 99% of the time one of us is home all day on Fridays. We will leave the home for work and can either crate, or let your pup roam with ours, whatever they are used to! We would never leave the dogs home alone for more than 7-8 hours, and would hope to avoid even being gone that long with a new friend in the house. You can count on us to be around full time Fridays- Sundays. Mondays- Thursdays, every week is different for us, always feel free to reach out & we are happy to answer any questions/ concerns.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced in yard and a pup to keep yours company. River loves to either cuddle with us on the couch or will be in full play mode chasing a tennis ball in our yard. We want your pup to have just as much fun as you while you enjoy your trip! We have no other pets or kids in the home.
Pets
A typical day
We take at least 2 long (30 min-1 hour) walks per day before & after the work day to enjoy outside & all the outdoors. On the weekends, they can be longer. Of course, we are very cautious of the heat in the Texas Summers with their paws walking them on our neighborhood trails and to avoid any over heating. We can play fetch in the yard, pull any toys out of the dog basket, or enjoy pets and scratches on the couch. It is best if we have an idea of your day to day so we can be sure to exercise your dog appropriately.
