Hi there! My name is Kaylin and I am a 35-year-old research consultant and animal carer. I have a lot of experience with house and pet sitting as well as pet training. I have mostly worked with dogs and horses, but have professionally cared for dozens of other species of animals as well. I have my own dog, who is an angel, and I like to claim some credit for that! I've also had cats all my life and love to care for them as well. I am very responsible, responsive, friendly and happy to follow any directions you have for me! Why you should hire me: I am very experienced at animal care and training! I am friendly, reliable, responsive, and diligent in my work and will follow every direction or request you have for me! I am mostly available on weekdays. I mostly work from home so am quite flexible! For logistics/commuting I may have to modify the time you request by 30 minutes to an hour to accommodate travel to and from your home and other bookings. If you need overnight care I am happy to accommodate your furry friends by coming to your home or taking them to parks, on walks, and playing with them in or outside! I can also provide boarding services if your pup is house trained and gets along with my own dog.

Kaylin is reliable, friendly, great with dogs, and responsive. And is even helping redirect/ leash train my very energetic 1 year old English setter! Kaylin also came through recently when I was very sick with pneumonia and my partner was out of town. Life saver that weekend!! Thankful we found her on Rover, can be hard to find people reliable and understanding of “extra” dogs like mine- very patient (with my dog and my ability at the rover app 😅).

Schedule
I am primarily working part time remotely from home and have a flexible schedule, especially during the week! Therefore, I often can accommodate last-minute/same day requests. A couple of details about scheduling: - I may request to modify the time you request by 30 minutes to an hour to accommodate other bookings and travel time to and from your home (especially for same day/last minute bookings)

I am conscientious about safety and am happy to ensure that myself and your home are safe. I know animals and their cues and will pay careful attention to any surprise needs your pet may have and will contact you if something seems concerning or if there is an issue.
Pets
A typical day
Within the bounds of your pet's abilities, I will take them for walks, runs, fetch at the park, play time in the yard, tug 'o' war, and any other games your dog enjoys or you'd like them to learn. Depending on the location, I can take your dog to the park, lake, creek, dog park - whichever you prefer and are comfortable with. I'm also happy to just keep your pet company if they're lower-energy and prefer cuddles and lots of pets. If you would like, I can also help with training by reinforcing good behaviors and help teach them basics like walking on the leash, heel, sit, stay, lie down, and even some tricks (I've taught my dog "play dead", "twirl", "roll-over", "paw", and some other fun behaviors). As for kitties, I'm all about earning their trust, cuddles, and playfulness!
