Pet care experience
Take care of the one that loves you
Growing up with 2 dogs for most of my entire life has helped me understand compassion and that everyone and everything deserves love. Animals do not have to be my own for me to give them the care they want and need. I was taught from a young age by my parents how to take care of pets, was trusted, and given the responsibilities to stay home with them. Whenever I made a mistake or forgot to take them outside, I took accountability and have now been using calendars, alarms, etc to guarantee I will not make the same mistake again. If I am taking care of a pet that is allowed to leave their home for any other reason than walking, I love to take them on adventures (hiking, beach, etc) to give them the freedom to explore new areas and live their fullest life :)

Ratings and reviews
Kayleigh looked after our old dog Remy in-home for around 10 days. She showed professionalism and care throughout, was fast to communicate and Remy enjoyed the company! We highly recommend Kayleigh.

Kayleigh is professional, kind, responsive, and just a wonderful sitter! Our little Mojito is an anxious puppy, but she felt safe and had a fantastic time with Kayleigh. We would definitely love to book with her again! Thank you, Kayleigh! :)

Kayleigh did a drop in visit and was very patient with Yuzu. I left some information to help and she did great overall. Definitely helped as I needed someone for this instance and we hope to work together more!

Kayleigh did a great job with Emmy for a short weekend trip! She communicated well and stayed with Emmy past the time she was supposed to due to unforeseen circumstances. Appreciate all her help and would recommend!

I highly recommend Kayleigh to be a pet caregiver! She’s been taking care of my 2 dogs and a cat whenever I need and if she’s available. She loves pets and she takes a great care of the pets. She’s very responsible and knows exactly what to do. She even does more than I request so I would love to hire her.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I would love to discuss this further with the pet owners. On a daily basis (other than traveling) I am either at home or at sports practice (typically lasts 2-4 hours so I would take them with me to the park). I revolve my plans around them because they become my highest priority! I am flexible and can stay calm under pressure. Also, I love to incorporate my tasks with pet care such as exercise, we can go on walks/runs or just play sports in the park. Going to the gym daily is important to me and would love to come back to the pet and take them on a walk and/or run! I am all about convenience so I like to think about the best way to go about how to feed the pets, when to take them outside, when I can relax with them while watching TV or giving them the attention they want.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
It depends on the pet and owner but I am very respectable of owner’s homes and the daily lifestyle of the pet. I will clean up right after every mess/task and make sure the pet is comfortable having someone new in the house. In a client's home, I follow the instructions thoroughly so if the pet needs their food prepared in a certain way, it's important for me to do it correctly. On the other hand with pets in my own home, I live with one other person who doesn’t mind pets in the home. They are generally clean and respectful of everyone that visits and pets that I would be taking care of. The house has a fenced yard and a front yard with grass that the pet can roam around.

A typical day
A typical day dog sitting for me contains a lot of exercise and having fun outdoors. As an outdoorsy person myself, I love to bring the pet outside to a park, hike, or beach. It depends on the pet on if they would rather stay within the neighborhood they've been living in or if they would rather go on a drive and explore new places with me like a hiking trail or neighborhood that I live in.

- Do they like to wander off and explore or are they more reserved and rather stay in the environment they're used to? What type of exercise do they like specifically, going on runs, walks, playing fetch in the park, swimming, etc?
