Availability
I'm available to visit your pet(s) any day of the week between 6:30am and 10:00am and between 3:30pm and 9:00pm for drop-in visits. I have full availability between 6:30am and 9:00pm on weekends and holidays. I can usually do two visits per day, sometimes three on weekends or holidays. I'm a working professional with the ability to flex my schedule, but some weekdays I have professional appointments that limit my ability to visit your companion(s) between 10:00am and 3:30pm.

About Kayleigh R.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
I adjust the care I give to the animal's specific personality and health requirements. When first meeting your companion, I will go slowly and watch for signs of fear or aggression before moving further. I do not initiate touch with other people's pets, and I am familiar with pets that are anxious or sometimes aggressive. They still deserve the love and care that a friendlier pet deserves, and I don't judge worth based on personality or demeanor. I respect your pet's autonomy and boundaries. For cats, I can feed your cat as often as you would like, and I take care of the litter box at least once per drop-in. If your cat(s) uses the litter box again while I am there, I take care of it again before I leave. I will play with and pet your cat as much as they would like. I can brush cats and give any medications as necessary. For dogs, I can feed your dog as often as you would like, and I can take them out for a walk as often as you would like as well. Depending on your dog and your neighborhood, I can walk various distances. I will play with and pet your dog as much as they would like, including going out with them in your yard if you have one. I can brush dogs and can give them certain medications as necessary. I do not give dogs pills by mouth.
Information Kayleigh R. would like to know about your pet
Tell me ahead of time if your companion has special medical needs, including if they have any illnesses that require quarantine from other animals. I have two cats at home, so it's important to keep them and your pet safe! I have experience reducing cross-contamination between animals, so just let me know ahead of time so I can prepare properly!
A typical day
I love to play with your pets! If you have a cat, leave out their favorite toys or puzzles and let me know how they like to play (or I'll take time to figure it out myself). If they know tricks, I'll happily practice them with them for some mental enrichment! (My cats know "sit" and "spin" for example!) If you have a dog, I enjoy putting together enrichment activities like puzzles, snuffle toys/mats, or long walks with lots of funky smells. I volunteer with a local animal shelter doing dog walking and enrichment, so I love trying to find something to keep your dog mentally and physically satiated.

Ready to Give Your Pet Some TLC
Pet care experience
Over the last six years, I've had my own cats (as many as four together) and taken care of cats for family, friends, and community members all over the Tacoma-Federal Way metro area. I've raised and taken care of cats of all ages from kitten to senior (from 4 weeks to 19.5 years), and I have experience with overweight cats on diets or multi-cat homes with cats on differing diets. I'm familiar with special medical or behavioral issues and have given medications in almost every form. One of my cats has feline asthma, and I'm comfortable (if you are) with giving your cat their inhaler as needed/prescribed. I have a personal understanding of how scary it can be to leave any cat but especially a cat with complex medical needs. If you're concerned about how much care your cat needs, please reach out because I might be your gal!
Reviews

We ADORE Kayleigh! She goes above and beyond every time we book with her. Our cats love her and she remembers their individual quirks and preferences. Definitely the best a sitter ever and we always feel super confident leaving the cats in her care!!!

Kayleigh was amazing! She checked in on our two cats daily while we were away for the week. She gave us detailed daily reports with pictures and it really put us at ease. It was our first time leaving our cats with someone other than a friend so we were very grateful. She was super attentive to our senior cat and cleaned up any messes from both our boys. We would definitely ask her to come back!

Kayleigh was great and took wonderful care of our kitty while we were away. ☺️ I'm sure Olives misses her already, so we would definitely book her again!!

Kayleigh has been amazing with our animals, and super super flexible working with our last minute plans! We really appreciate her consistency and care of all our pets.
