I'm currently working full time, but animal care is my real passion! I treat each animal I interact with as if they were my own. I am primarily available during weekends and evenings.

I keep your pets as close to their normal routine as I can when coming into their home! I am respectful of their space, and your home, and will always try and leave it cleaner than when I got there. No instruction is "too much" or "too ridiculous", I will always do everything I can to ensure they health, safety, and happiness of your fur babies.

I would like to know special needs and behavior ahead of time. I am able to pill dogs and can walk reactive dogs given I am told in advance. Relevant medical history, allergies, and things to avoid are also good to know.

I love to enrich dogs mentally and physically! I know plenty of games to play including scent work, brain games, and fetch/running games! I will always provide all the snuggles and kisses I am able.

I worked for 2 years at a dog daycare as a dog group handler and as an assistant trainer. I worked on basic commands and confidence boosting, as well as with reactive dogs (both in the daycare and in the dog's home). I am currently working towards an official dog trainer certification. I have a strong understanding of dog bahavior, experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and have experience with giving pills to fussy dogs. I have worked with all ages from puppy to senior.

Kayleigh was a wonderful pet sitter! We ended up needing someone last minute and she still made time to do a meet and greet the day before we left. She gave us thorough updates and took wonderful care of our pets. She even got our skittish cat to come out for snacks. I would 100% book with her again.

Full disclosure, Kayleigh is a relative. Having said that, I can honestly say without bias that she is wonderful with a variety of animals. Specifically, we adopted a shelter cat 9 months ago who spent a bit of time outside in the wild before arriving at the shelter. While not feral, he had a set of issues like food aggression, biting, and “play” attacking that was a bit rough that we dealt with for several months. Through behavior training over the summer and fall, Kayleigh has transformed Cort into the sweetest cat ever!! He still loves to play, but does so appropriately and has learned the “stop” cue if he gets too excited. Feeding time is no longer an issue and no more biting! I have also seen her work patiently with a nervous Budgie, transforming him into a wonderful, confident pet. She is fantastic working with many different animals, and with teaching other people to engage successfully with animals.
Kayleigh is a caring and responsible human and anyone would be lucky to have them caring for their pet. I know Kaye as a graduate student at the University where I work and I hired them on many occasions to stay in my home and care for my rowdy/sweet/sassy dog and my cat. Having Kaye staying with them always gave me peace of mind while I was away. Kaye's background in dog training makes them particularly qualified to work with dogs that have some behavioral quirks, such as my dog who has some reactivity issues. Kayleigh is also communicative, kind, and just easy to work with and get along with (for pets and humans). We no longer live near each other, otherwise I would continue hiring Kaye anytime I needed a pet sitter.
