20+ Years Animal Care Experience <3
Hello Pet Parents! My name is Kayleen, and animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I have worked in veterinary hospitals, professionally cared for pets in clients' homes, volunteered with dog rescues, and participated in animal welfare projects both in the United States and internationally. My experience includes caring for family pets, rescue dogs, street dogs, farm animals, puppies, senior pets, and animals with unique behavioral and emotional needs. I began my animal care journey working in veterinary hospitals, where I learned the importance of safety, observation, communication, and compassionate care. Later, I worked professionally as a dog walker and pet sitter with Paws to Consider in Boston, providing dog walks, overnight pet sitting, cat care, medication support, and detailed updates with photos and notes for pet parents. My rescue experience includes working with Everglades Angels Dog Rescue in Florida, Care for Dogs in Thailand, and The Dog Squad in India. Through these experiences I learned how to build trust with fearful, shy, and traumatized animals using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I have assisted with socialization, leash training, transportation, enrichment activities, adoption events, and daily care for rescue dogs from a wide variety of backgrounds. I have also lived and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Caring for animals in many different homes and cultures taught me that every pet and every family is unique. I take time to learn your pet's routines, personality, preferences, and comfort needs so I can provide care that feels familiar, safe, and loving while you are away. I understand that trusting someone with your beloved companion and your home is a big decision. I strive to provide reliable communication, thoughtful care, plenty of updates, and complete respect for your home and your pet's established routine. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for, and that you have peace of mind knowing they are in capable and compassionate hands.

Ratings and reviews
Kayleen is great. She sent pics and updates. A.J. played the entire time and had a great time.

I think my two large dogs had a great time during their stay with Kayleen. She sent lots of pictures and videos of them playing in her large backyard and napping in her house.

Schedule
I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through an online program while also working remotely as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Practitioner and Mental Health Coach. Because both my studies and work are conducted remotely, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable and attentive pet care throughout the week. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle and is something I genuinely enjoy. My schedule allows me to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits, as well as overnight stays when needed. I spend much of my time working from home, which enables me to provide pets with companionship, supervision, exercise, and consistent care. Throughout my career in animal care, veterinary settings, rescue work, and pet sitting, I have learned that animals thrive on routine, patience, and positive attention. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, medication administration, enrichment activities, or simply a calm and caring presence, I take pride in providing reliable, individualized care that helps them feel safe and comfortable while you're away. As someone who works professionally in a helping role, I value responsibility, communication, trust, and attention to detail. Pet parents can expect timely updates, photos, and the peace of mind that their beloved companion is receiving compassionate, attentive care

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I understand that our pets are family members, and that trusting someone to care for them, and to enter your home, is a big decision. I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and their people. I believe quality pet care goes beyond feeding and walks; it involves understanding each animal's unique personality, routine, preferences, and emotional needs. I take the time to learn what helps your pet feel comfortable, secure, and happy so I can maintain as much consistency as possible while you are away. I also treat every client's home with the utmost respect and care. Having lived, traveled, and cared for animals in many different homes and environments throughout the United States and abroad, I understand that every household has its own routines, expectations, and way of doing things. I strive to honor those preferences and leave your home exactly as you would expect. Before providing care, I like to discuss your pet's routines, behaviors, medical needs, safety concerns, and any special instructions so we can create a plan tailored to your pet and your family's needs. Clear communication helps ensure the highest level of safety, wellbeing, and peace of mind for everyone involved. Above all, I want your pet to feel safe, loved, and cared for, and for you to feel confident knowing they are in compassionate, reliable hands. 🐾❤️
Pets
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor each visit to the individual animal's personality, energy level, and needs. A typical day may include walks, playtime, enrichment activities, feeding, fresh water, belly rubs, brushing, cuddle time, and plenty of love and attention. I believe animals deserve not only quality care but also enjoyment, stimulation, and companionship. For dogs, this may include neighborhood walks, exploring new scents, games, training reinforcement, fetch, or outdoor play. For cats, it may include interactive toys, play sessions, brushing, window watching, treats, and quiet companionship. I pay close attention to each animal's body language and behavior. Over the years, through pet sitting, rescue work, and veterinary settings, I have learned how to recognize signs of stress, anxiety, boredom, excitement, or discomfort. This allows me to adjust activities and provide the type of care and interaction that best supports their wellbeing. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous or prefers a calm and relaxing day, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, engaged, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I provide plenty of updates, photos, and communication so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is having a great day too. 🐾☀️❤️
