Hi I’m Kayla May! I’ve been a dog lover since honestly, forever. I love animals, especially dogs and I have a soft spot for rescues. I’ve cared for dogs all my life and have experience with small and large breeds. I have been caring for other pets on Rover since 2016, first in The Bay Area, CA where I am originally from and now here, in the greater NYC area. I have access to a vehicle if needed and I can’t wait to learn more about your pet! Feel free to message me if you have any questions and I will do my beet to respond in a timely fashion.

Safety, trust & environment
Meet & greets will be required with first time bookings, and I will ask that you book a drop-in so that my time is compensated and I can get properly aquatinted with your dog/cat and space. During this we will discuss the following; - nicknames? - what activates/triggers - what motivates them - how often then need to be let out, - what their favorite toy is, - do they have any special places in the neighborhood? - Do they have people/other pets they don’t vibe with? - Is there a place they know will give them treats when we walk past? - any other special quirks

Kaylamay is simply amazing! She was so kind to chewy, was so flexible when my plans had to be slightly amended last minute, and even though he’s very scared of strangers, he warmed up to her in no time! I know he misses her already!
Kayla May took the best care of my pup while I was on vacation! She stuck to her daily routines, was super attentive, and consistently checked in with photos/videos and updates making my time away easier on both of us. Lucia loves Kayla May and I can tell feels really loved and cared for when she stays with her.
Kaylamay is always responsive and willing to help out with late bookings when she can. So helpful to me and such a treat for my pup to spend some time with someone she trusts and adores!
She was very communicative during her stay with Louie. She sent pictures throughout her stay. Louie looked happy and well taken care of in the photos.
She was great! Sent pics every day and the cat loved her. Always kept me updated. 10/10 would recommend.
kaylamay was amazing with my senior dog flynn! kind, very attentive, great communication, and i could tell he enjoyed his time with her. definitely recommend!

I’ve recently raised my rates to be more attentive to your pets! With that said, I do work from home full time and very flexible with my time, especially during the day. Whether you’re looking for a full time house sitter for your trips, or an occasional drop-in or walk, I am available to discuss what works best for your loved one. Meet & greets will be required with first time bookings, and I will ask that you book a drop-in so that my time is compensated and I can get properly aquatinted with your dog/cat and space.
