At this time, I don’t plan to take pets into my own home, but I take safety very seriously when caring for pets in their own environment. I make sure that anything potentially harmful is kept out of reach and that pets are always in a safe, secure space. I’m also attentive to their behavior, especially when they may be bored or curious, to ensure they don't get into anything they shouldn’t. My goal is to keep your pet safe and make sure you return to a happy home and pup.

If your dog has any special routines, or things that they need, I would love to know ahead of time so I can adjust! Even if they have a favorite game or something that makes them feel more comfortable while their owner is away.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I try to follow their normal routine as closely as possible. For active dogs, that might mean walks around the neighborhood, playing tug and plenty of time for sniffing and exploring. For pets who prefer a quieter day, I’m happy to spend time cuddling, relaxing, and keeping them company. I also love sending photo updates so owners can see what we are up to.

I’ve been caring for pets for about 10 years, working with all kinds of dogs. This has included energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I also have experience administering medications and caring for dogs with behavioral or medical needs, including leash reactivity. Over time, I’ve built strong relationships with a few families who continue to trust me with their pups. I love staying active with dogs who enjoy long walks and playtime, but I’m just as happy spending time with dogs who need a calmer, more comforting presence. My goal is always to make pets feel safe and loved, even if it is scary having their person away. I understand that every dog has different needs, and I always prioritize safety, clear communication, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for.

We have known Kayla for years as a neighbor. She is reliable, communicative, friendly, and our dog adores her. Our dog is super sweet but also can be aggressive on leash. We trust Kayla to keep him and other dogs safe while enjoying a walk with him. We have called Kayla many times in a pinch to spend time with our dog and highly recommend her.
I recommend Kayla highly and whole heartedly. She cared for our sweet Boston Terrier who was medically fragile and was like our baby. We are very selective about who we let care for her. Kayla was amazing with her. She is extremely responsible, kind, caring, and easy to give instructions to. Your pets will be in the absolute best care possible with Kayla. She is in the top tier of people I trust.
Kayla is a very responsible dog sitter, she watched our two middle aged labs, walking them and feeding them with their various medications. She’s caring and thoughtful, she’ll treat your pet as her own!
