Hi! I’m Kayla, a lifelong animal lover with a special soft spot for dogs and senior pets. 🐾 My love for animals really began when I worked at a dog daycare for three years, where I learned how to safely handle dogs with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and needs. That experience stuck with me long after I left and helped shape the way I care for animals today. I’m now a proud dog and cat owner myself, and caring for animals is one of my favorite parts of daily life. I have a particularly big heart for senior pets, my own rescue cat was adopted at age 12 and is now 20 years old! I also have hands-on experience with reactive dogs. My own dog struggled with reactivity as a puppy, and I spent a lot of time learning how to safely and calmly walk her on leash. Because of that experience, I’m comfortable reading dog body language and creating calm, safe walks for dogs who may need a little extra patience. I always try to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I make sure pets get plenty of exercise, attention, and calm companionship while keeping feeding, potty, and walk schedules consistent. I also keep spaces clean and safe and send regular updates so owners know how their pets are doing. I’m attentive to each animal’s personality and body language, whether that means lots of playtime, a slower “sniff walk,” or a calm presence for more anxious pets. I also have experience with reactive dogs, so I’m comfortable managing walks carefully and keeping them safe around other dogs and distractions.

Kayla has plenty experience caring for animals after countless pets in her family home followed by working for a boarding facility as a young adult. Schedule
Pet care fits really naturally into my routine because I already structure my days around caring for my own pets. I have a flexible schedule right now, which allows me to offer walks, drop-ins, and sitting throughout the week. I enjoy getting outside for walks and spending time with animals, so adding more pet care into my day is a great fit.
