Hi I'm Kayla! I have nearly 10 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals — first as a pet owner and also from caring for friends' animals. I have owned a German Shepard and an Australian cattle dog, so I am good with large and energetic dogs! I have volunteered at the NOCO Humane Society since February 2026, where I help care for dogs by feeding them and cleaning their kennels, and I also assist in the veterinary services clinic. I completed my B.S. in Zoology at CSU in Summer 2026, and I hope to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I love all kinds of animals and would love to work with you and your pets:)

Safety, trust & environment
I care for dogs by taking them on long walks, playing with them for a good amount of time, and making sure they get lots of pets. I always make sure to clean up after myself, along with any messes around the food and water bowls. That way you can come back to a clean home and relax after your trip! For walks and drop-ins, I will send pictures and a summary of my time with your pet at the end of the visit. During house-sitting bookings, I send pictures and a summary of the day at the end of every day of the sitting.

Kayla communicated well. Our boys were walked, fed, and got some fetch time in the yard. Kayla followed our care instructions very well. Would book her again.
Kayla took amazing care of my home and my cat Sam! He was very happy and relaxed when I came back, and I appreciated the photos Kayla sent of him each night. I highly recommend Kayla and look forward to her sitting Sam the next time I’m out of town!

Kayla was great with our very senior dog and cat. Our dog required special treatment for medical issues and Kayla was a pro! She’s great with communication and left our house near and tidy.
Kayla was awesome in her first walk w/ Gene! He still has puppy energy, so I was so grateful for her ability to meet him where he was at & get everything in order for his walk. Her summary & photos show a very happy dog which was exactly what I came home to. She was also highly communicative & offered her own thoughts/questions to make extra sure everything went well. Highly recommend Kayla!

Schedule
I am available to care for pets most days of the week at whatever time you need! I am currently not accepting house-sitting requests, but I expect to reopen my calendar as we approach the Fall and Winter holidays. I will be out of town from September 21-October 13, and might be slow to respond to messages. I will respond to messages while I am gone, and will get back to you as soon as I can!!

- Please let me know how your pet likes to be cared for so I can do my best to replicate their routine at home! I love practicing any commands or tricks they know and play with their favorite toys. It is also helpful to know if your pet has any triggers or preferences so I know how to best care for them.
