Hi there! My name is Kayla and I have always loved animals, but dogs and cats hold a special place in my heart. They are the most kind, loving, and caring beings on the planet and I want to do everything I can to make them happy! I have taken care of my dogs growing up (4 of them) and my parent’s 4 dogs for a grand total of about 10 years! I have taken care of other animals (including 4 pet ferrets and an iquana), as well as cats (my old kitty of 8 years & my two cats for 7 years) throughout my life. In my free time, I love to volunteer at the Tampa Humane Society, which I started 3 years ago. I have given dogs medication (pills, liquid), as well as cats (inhaler, pills, topical, liquid). I can give your pet a bath, brush them, and take care of any other grooming needs (I can cut cat nails too!). I would love to take care of your pets on repeated visits if everything works out well! I am caring, loving, responsible, and trustworthy; I would be honored to care for your pet as if they are my own. Safety, trust & environment
Safety and security are my number one priority when taking care of your pet. I only will walk your pet in areas you request and if for some reason it seems unsafe, I’ll re-evaluate where to go. I always double check doors, screens, back door, etc. are locked and secure. While going on walks, staying on a leash and anticipating changes (running, walking faster, bolting, haha) is what I’ll be doing.

Kayla was great with my cat and dog who are both a little challenging. I have 100% confidence that they were in great hands and I will definitely ask her to do it again the next time I go out of town.
My pup just loved Kayla! She was available to help me with very last minute notice! I received pictures and constant communication throughout their visit.
Kayla is amazing! I’ve had her come to check on my cat Winnie for 3 repeat bookings for multiple days each booking. I always know Winnie is in good hands and cared for! I receive lots of pictures, updates, and prompt communication. Kayla goes above and beyond to make sure Winnie is comfortable while I’m away.

I work full time at home and in my own company. My availability includes most days of the week with various times. Please reach out if you have any questions about my availability. I’m happy to be flexible when possible!

- I would first love to know how to bond with your pet! It can be a little scary coming into a new place, or having a new person take care of you, so anything I can do to make your pet more comfortable would be great to know. I would like to know if your pet has any medical concerns that I should be aware of and any limitations they might have regarding eating, drinking, or exercise. Any of their favorites would be super helpful to know as well!
