I am currently a full time veterinary assistant so my schedule varies each week. I also volunteer at a local shelter when I have free time.

I am normally quick to reply if I’m not working. I am always honest and reliable, and would be respectful while I am in and out of your home. I always keep an eye on any animals outside and will follow any specific/quirky instructions while they are in my care. On walks we generally stay away from other dogs to prevent any unwanted interactions. I double check that gates and doors are locked to keep the animal (and home) safe. I don’t invite people to come with and can send updates while I am there. I am also willing to take care of plants and grab mail if you need it.

I generally recommend a meet and greet so we can all interact in person to make sure everyone is comfortable. It is important to me that I know how your animal will react to other animals and people. For reactive dogs I can take special precautions. I would also like to be provided with information on their veterinary care (in case of emergencies). Any medication or medical conditions that would also help me provide the best care possible

A typical drop-in visit normally involves a potty break, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention. I do both exercise and sniff walks, so which ever pace best fits the dog’s needs.

Hello, my name is Kayla! I have a Pre-Vet Animal Science degree from the University of Minnesota. I work at a veterinary clinic and absolutely adore animals of all shapes and sizes. I adopted my dog Willow last summer and she loves to tag along. *For any overnight requests, she would need to come over for at least bedtime.* Some things I can provide for your fur babies: love, walk/exercise, structured routine, patience, basic training, cuddling, medication administration, socializing with my pup and anything else an animal may need. I have basic care knowledge and training with a wide variety of animals. I have had small dogs my whole life but also worked with medium and large breeds, cats, rabbits, bearded dragons, guinea pigs, and birds.
