I've cared for a lot of types of dogs from groom dogs to special needs dogs. I had an Ivdd baby who wore diapers. I also worked as a dog groomer so I handled dogs on a professional level every day. I love interacting with each pup I have the pleasure to meet! I currently work from home so I have lots of time to give your pups all the love and attention during their stay with me!

Schedule
I work from home during the day. My job allows for flexible times for potty breaks and mental enrichment throughout the day! I start the day of taking care of my pup and reptiles, making sure they get plenty of enrichment throughout the day!

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I can easily crate your pup or make a save spot for your pup to feel safe and at home. I have plenty of enrichment opportunities to keep baby content and occupied while in my care. I also use a slip lead in addition to your gear to keep your baby safe during potty breaks as I do not have a fenced in yard.
A typical day
To keep the pets I watch engaged and entertained, I will incorporate a variety of fun activities that cater to their physical, mental, and social needs. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the activities I would plan: Physical Activities Interactive Playtime: Engaging in games like fetch or tug-of-war is essential for providing exercise and fun. For dogs that enjoy chasing, I might use a flirt pole to stimulate their natural instincts while ensuring they get plenty of physical activity without over-exertion. DIY Obstacle Courses: Setting up a makeshift agility course using items like cones or hula hoops can be an exciting way for dogs to practice their agility skills. This not only provides physical stimulation but also encourages problem-solving as they navigate through the course. Outdoor Adventures: Taking pets on nature walks or hikes allows them to explore new environments while getting fresh air and exercise. During these outings, I would ensure safety by keeping them leashed or within secure areas. Exploratory Activities Nosework Games: Implementing scent games where pets search for hidden treats can be both mentally stimulating and rewarding. For example, hiding treats in various boxes and encouraging the dog to find them promotes their natural sniffing instincts. Sniff Breaks During Walks: Allowing time for “sniff breaks” during walks gives dogs the opportunity to explore their environment fully, satisfying their curiosity and need for sensory stimulation. Puzzle Toys: Introducing interactive puzzle toys can keep pets mentally engaged while providing them with treats as rewards for solving challenges. These toys are suitable for all ages and can be used during indoor play sessions. Social Activities Bonding Time: Spending quality time cuddling or grooming pets strengthens our bond and provides necessary social interaction. Simple activities like brushing or giving gentle massages can enhance their comfort and trust in me. Training Sessions: Using pet-sitting visits as opportunities to reinforce basic obedience commands or teach new tricks can be beneficial for both mental stimulation and strengthening our relationship through positive reinforcement techniques. Playdates with Other Pets: If appropriate, arranging playdates with other friendly pets can provide valuable social interaction, allowing them to engage in natural behaviors while having fun together. Sensory Experiences Sensory Gardens: Creating a sensory garden with pet-safe plants allows dogs to explore different scents and textures safely, enhancing their sensory experiences outdoors. Calming Background Noise: Playing calming music or nature sounds during quiet times can create a soothing atmosphere for pets, helping reduce anxiety when they are away from their owners. By incorporating these diverse activities into my pet-sitting routine, I aim to enrich the lives of the pets in my care, ensuring they remain happy, healthy, and well-stimulated.
