I follow all care instructions given to me during a check-in. Unless stated otherwise, I will only let your dog outside on a leash or within a fenced yard for a walk/playtime to keep your animals safe!

Let me know where your pet's food/treats/toys/supplies are, as well any special care instructions you may have! Are there any places in the neighborhood your dog prefers to walk? Does your dog or cat have any favorite toys or blankets that soothe anxiety? What are your pet's favorite activities? All these things will help me make sure your pet feels happy and safe!
A typical day
My top priority is to give your pet all the love, attention, and enrichment they need while you're away! This includes making sure that they're fed, have fresh water, and all their basic needs are met. I'll give your dog or cat plenty of pets if they enjoy affection, grooming if requested, and lots of playtime if needed to help them get all that energy out of their system! If walking your dog, I will take them them for as far of a walk as they need to enjoy some time out of the house and get plenty of fresh air. We'll typically walk around your neighborhood, unless they have a nearby park they prefer. If I've made your pet happy, then I count the visit a success!

Pet care experience
I've been surrounded by pets of all breeds, sizes and temperaments since I was 7. I absolutely love connecting with animals and getting to see their unique personalities shine through. In 2020, I interned at Austin Pets Alive!, a no kill shelter, and learned how to feed, groom, and provide enrichment to every animal, from energetic pups to shyer dogs and cats. I also took care of my sweet childhood dog for 7 years until he sadly passed away earlier this year. Now it's just me and my rescue cat, a spunky tortie named Hina. I absolutely love playing with and taking care of her, and I want to provide the same love and enrichment to pets whose owners have busy lives.

Kayla was an amazing sitter! I could tell by her updates and pictures our dogs loved her. She noticed and mentioned all the little silly/cute things they do, so it was very clear to us she was interacting and playing with them a lot! She also noticed they were watching HGTV when she arrived and made sure that’s what they were watching when she left. 10/10 would hire her again!
