Hi! I’m Kayla 🐾 I’ve been working with animals professionally for 15+ years, and over 25 years total including volunteering and hands-on care. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—I grew up in a rescue-centered home, and at one point we had nine cats because we were always the family stopping to help animals in need. That background shaped who I am and the level of care I provide today. I truly believe you can’t teach passion in this line of work—you either have it or you don’t. For me, this isn’t just a job. I genuinely love what I do, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I offer a full range of services including boarding, drop-ins, and care for a variety of animals. I have experience with:• Dogs of all sizes and energy levels• Cats (including shy or independent personalities)• Small animals (gerbils, fish, etc.)• Exotic pets, including monkeys I’m also experienced with medication administration and special needs care, including pets who require extra patience, mobility support (such as wheelchairs), or more attentive monitoring. My home is a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pet will feel comfortable and cared for. I focus on maintaining their routine and giving them the attention they need so it truly feels like a home away from home. Kayla was absolutely amazing! We hired her for three consecutive days while vacationing in Scottsdale, and everything went perfectly. She was professional, punctual, and incredibly warm—our dog loved her right away. Kayla came to our hotel, which made things so convenient when we headed out for morning hikes. She went above and beyond by sending us pictures and videos each day, giving us total peace of mind. Her reliability, attention to detail, and genuine care for our puppy were outstanding. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I prioritize pet care and plan my routine around the needs of the animals I’m caring for. For boarding and daycare, pets are rarely left alone for long periods, and I make sure they get consistent supervision, interaction, and care. For drop-ins and walks, I’m able to accommodate a variety of time frames, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’m reliable, communicative, and always make sure your pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure.

I treat every pet like part of my family and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and specific needs. Whether they’re playful, anxious, senior, or more independent, I adjust my care to what makes them feel most at ease. I maintain a clean, secure space and provide plenty of attention, supervision, and affection throughout the day. I don’t overbook, which allows me to give each pet one-on-one care and ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and truly at home. My goal is for your pet to feel like they are in a home away from home. For safety and comfort, I do not mix pets from different households unless it has been discussed and approved beforehand. I prioritize a calm, controlled environment and only make introductions when appropriate, ensuring every pet feels secure and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I am very respectful of your space and follow all instructions closely to maintain your pet’s normal routine. I make sure they are fed, exercised, given attention, and kept in a clean, comfortable environment. I also provide consistent updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel at ease while you are away. Whether in my home or yours, your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority.

A typical day in my care is structured, calm, and centered around providing a safe, home-like luxury environment tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I provide care in my spacious 3-bedroom home, which is designed to feel open, comfortable, and low-stress for visiting pets. I also have convenient access to a private dog park and the Scottsdale Greenbelt, which allows for safe, enriching walks and outdoor time in a peaceful setting. Mornings begin with potty breaks, feeding, and attentive check-ins to make sure each pet is comfortable, settled, and starting their day in a calm routine. I focus on individual attention right away so every pet feels secure and cared for. Throughout the day, pets enjoy a balanced routine that may include enrichment activities, structured playtime, walks along the Greenbelt, and access to the dog park when appropriate. I tailor activity levels based on each pet’s personality—whether they prefer active engagement or a quieter, more relaxed day. There is always a strong focus on supervision, comfort, and maintaining a peaceful environment. Because I do not overbook, every pet receives consistent one-on-one attention and is never left without proper care or supervision for extended periods. I also follow all feeding, medication, and routine instructions exactly as provided to ensure consistency and familiarity for each pet. Evenings include feeding, potty breaks, light activity or calming time, and settling pets into a comfortable, safe environment for the night. My goal is always to create a true home-away-from-home experience rather than a kennel-style setting. I provide regular updates and photos throughout the day so pet parents can feel confident, connected, and at ease knowing their pet is being genuinely cared for.
