Certified Veterinary Technician

I am a Certified Veterinary Technician who graduated from Becker College in 2021. My passion for animals is my drive. I currently work at a non-profit veterinary clinic with low-income cost options. I truly feel like I am doing a great thing! Because I’ve been a technician for 5 years, medications etc. are no issue! I also have experience with training!

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets in clients homes the way I am asked to. For example, if you ask for your dog to be crated, I will make sure that is done before heading out. The same goes for mealtimes and medication times. I work with the dog’s personality in it’s preferred environment.

Kayla has a passion for animals that not many people have. Every pet she has had gets nothing but love and care, if anything seems off she notices right away. She helped me care for my rabbit many times and I felt so safe having her with my pet. She also worked with a beagle throughout the school year and turned him into an amazingly well-behaved, happy, trained dog ready for a family to love. Between her studies in the animal sciences at Becker College and the many pets she cares for, she is perfect for any dogsitting job.

House Sitting • Jul 24, 2018

Was very disappointed with this stay. It's the first time I booked an overnight sitter for Nina, and I won't do it again. Nina was supposed to have an overnight house sitting as agreed to in emails between myself and Kyla before the booking. On the first day of the house sitting when I returned home at 8PM to pick up a movie for an event, there was no one at the house. We found Nina crated. This concerned me, but my wife thought perhaps Kyla was out to dinner. I returned home after the event at about midnight to check on Nina, and found she had been let out since my last visit, but she was crated with no water. I ended up spending the night at home. Kayla showed up at 7AM to let Nina out the next morning and mentioned something about not feeling well the night before. At that point I canceled the rest of the stay and put Nina into boarding when they opened at 8AM. I can understand people getting sick, ........but Kayla knew we were not far away and could come home in an emergency. Kyla never contacted Rover or myself with her issue, deciding to leave Nina crated for at least 7 hours with no water.

Kayla is definitely a dog person and loves dogs so much. I am a school friend of hers and together we work in our school’s kennel 4 times a week walking and caring for greyhounds and beagles. A few semesters ago, she trained a beagle and spent almost more than two times the amount of time than anyone else working with her dog or just giving him attention. She is very responsible and has many many pets of her own so she knows how important specific care is per pet. She has a huge, caring heart and puts all of herself in her work with animals. I would trust her completely and unconditionally with my pets.

I am a veterinary technician who works 4 days a week so I’m always looking for more animals to fill my other three days of downtime with! I choose to make pet care fit, because it’s my passion. I want owners to be able to vacation worry free!

I don’t need much information besides what is obtained from the booking. I prefer to do a meet and greet every single visit to make sure everything will go smoothly. I prefer to know if they’re aggressive during booking, but that certainly isn’t a dealbreaker with my experience in the veterinary field.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
